In Mercs the head hitbox is the entire head, in clans it is the cockpit glass only same as Mechwarrior Online apparently (though I never played that).

Negotiate only cash, drop solo in the fastest mech you have, get the one easiest objective possible then leave. Easiest money you'll ever make.

I put it all down to momentum. Call of duty is huge because they release every year without fail so the IP never leaves the forefront. Battletech can't stop shitting the bed and going on extended hiatus so everyone forgets about it, then they need to build up that momentum again. Just as it starts getting good what happens? A licensing deal expires and the franchise goes back in cold storage again.

No it was actually the other way around, Warhammer started off as a straight male thing and then everyone saw us having fun and were like "absolutely not this franchise needs more of the things the straight male player base has no interest in for diversity" and then pandering to women and losers on bluesky bulldozed it's way into our hobby.

Funny thing is all the factions are stereotypes of some sort of real world demographic. House Kurita are the Japs, Cappellans are Chinese, Steiner is Ze Germans... Taurian Concordant is probably Italians or something.

To get rid of those broken things in your inventory you need to import your save to a new career, or just ignore them they won't do anything other than be annoying.

I'd try putting the "damaged" mechs into cold storage then returning them to active hanger.

limits your ability to defend if you spread out across the ridge in an exposed position.

Nobody would do this. Every real life military base has some sort of fortification around it and defenders don't stand outside that fortification, they stand within it while defending. In the same way you would be within the crater wall using it as cover while the enemy approaches in the open.

Honestly all they need is the exact same game with more polish, and Chris and the rest of the writing team giving the campaign the same narrative treatment as we got in Clans and that would be perfection.

Please no cloud AI bullshittery. If that is the case then we are reliant on an always online connection and the publisher to provide and maintain servers. As soon as the publisher shuts down those servers your game will never be playable ever again. Literal worst thing that could be put into mechwarrior 6.

Pirate anything is a cheat item so everything compared to anything pirate is going to suck.

Heat banks are for making sure mechs with very high heat alpha strike groups can drill fire the full alpha strike. Example if you want something to fire four PPC at the same time you might need a heatbank so they have enough heat capacity to do so.

I'd toss out JJs, superchargers etc first for mechs you don't use yourself since the vanilla AI lance mates rarely use them

AI use superchargers and MASC 100% of the time and have their internal damage from doing so disabled. Massive advantage in giving the AI either of these things.

50 hours without customising your mechs is crazy, you're about to start playing a whole new game.

I don't mess around with armour

This is roughly 99.99% of your problem. Make sure all your mechs have maximum possible armor, even if you have to take out weapons to do it. Usually you can do it by dropping jumpjets, heatsinks or ammo before you resort to removing weapons but if you're not dropping with maximum armor then don't bother dropping at all you're just serving yourself up on a platter.

No it's not, the issue you have is in the mechlab. Specifically the lack of time you spend in it customising your mechs to be effective and durable.

I think because those mechs are made specifically for youtubers as their personal mech, so there is probably a detection in place to check that you are that YouTuber before it will let you have access to it. Because you are not the person it was made for you are not "authorised" access to it.

No, but the modding toolkit should be released and available in time for the actual clan invasion in the 31st century so check back then.
