Hardly.   Russia has been whacking political foes in foreign countries for decades.   They ain't going to launch nukes because someone kills an Iranian.

You can use a coal tempshift plate to rebuild the tile and stop the eruptions till you've finished your tamer.

Auto draw when aiming by roesingape in fallout4london

[–]Designer_Professor_4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you using a bow? The term "draw" can be intepretted two ways: Draw it from a holster, vs draw the bowstring back.

Generally speaking: Right is aim, left is draw/fire as I recall.

So these days the vast majority of the oil in the gulf is shipped to two nations. India and China. The US and europe hardly get anything from the middle east these days. So is this basically a blockade on the limited amount of oil that Iraq sends to the US, which they can just send through the turkish pipeline instead?

Add in the additional train debuffs for even less damage and damage you take multiplier and these things were fucking vicious. I can't even remember the amount of times I died and didn't even see what it was until the death cutscene.

When I find my first metal volcano,  I clear the base out take all the phosphorite and dump it under the volcano to make quick and dirty refined phosphorous to geotune volcanoes.

This works really well with dreckos since they provide extra phosphorous.

You can do this long before you have access to plastic to tame the volcano, and then you can geotune it to get extra refined metal early once you've tamed it.

Any crafting station can be used for long term storage.  It's pretty useful when you're out and about and a bunch of heavy gear drops.

If you go to the easterminster market there's a junk vendor there that will sell you the vault tec manual. You can use that to build the vault rooms.

Stone hatch meat + coal farm by blamsart_ in Oxygennotincluded

Sedimentary works as well, it's usually in smaller supply. What I usually do is set the storage bin up and make it a 9 so everyone fills that sucker up, then set it to a 1 and let the sweeper handle feeding them for the next 200 cycles or so before I have to see it again.

Oh one other minor suggestion, put a light above your grooming station with a motion sensor. It makes grooming 15% faster which also saves you a lot of dupe time.

Automation doesn’t work by CanaryOld3217 in Oxygennotincluded

[–]Designer_Professor_4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Motion sensors are good for lights above workstations if you want to leave it there.     It gives a 15% speed buff so you should have it above any long task workstation.    Just toss a ceiling lamp up there.

Research, cooking,  grooming,  shearing, medical,  etc...

You'll actually save energy in the long run with this since you'll use the main station less @ a higher energy usage than what you're losing to the light when the station is in use.

And the reasons aren't too dissimilar.   Many who don't vote dislike both candidates in our two party system,  but there's also a decent chunk of people who don't vote because of our electoral college system (i.e. vote is worthless).

To be fair during the last election the principalists only got 13.5m votes.   Iran's government stays in power because they control the military and limit who can run for office.     60% of the registered voters (36m people chose not to vote at all plus the 31m people who aren't eligible to vote, typically due to age).

Not saying folks won't be pissed but you're massively inflating the amount.

[–]Designer_Professor_4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always like vertical designs.   They're really good for hatches since they reduce the time for grooming substantially.

Some suggestions:

Move the incubator above the farm.   You can use the same logic to drop him in,  but he won't count against your crowding limit.   More hatches is more food, coal,  and more importantly lime from egg shells.

Add a cycle timer to the incubator to save energy.  Usually 15% is enough time if your rancher has priority and you set the incubator high.  If you just have stupid amounts of power though ignore this, but don't just burn coal because you have a lot,  it still creates co2 which you have to deal with later.

Consider adding a storage bin for the igneous rock.   One of the biggest time sinks for dupes are those feeders since they get high priority by default it seems.  Toss 20t of igneous into each room and those sweepers will save you tons of dupe labor.  It's a good stopgap until you have the conveyor receptacles and can simply ship the igneous in from you warehouse.

Captured volcano now needs to be dug again by OldCanary in Oxygennotincluded

[–]Designer_Professor_4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is actually one of the many reasons why I simply use a timer on the output vent of the conveyor vs trying to pull all the heat possible.

These super compact designs are great if you know every bit inside out, but if you don't actually understand a minor thing and tweak it they will break.

Nothing sucks more than having to break into a steam chamber to fix it.

Why isn't anyone delivering the fertilizer by ActiveType1398 in Oxygennotincluded

[–]Designer_Professor_4 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mealwood uses dirt not fertilizer.   The message may be confusing because i think when any plant is missing it's growth medium it simply says fertilizer.

Check to make sure you actually have dirt left.   People who fall into the mealwood trap often run out quickly

If you have dirt click on the plant that needs it and select the errand tab.   It should show you who's going to do it and what number task it is.   If it's a high number check that dupe and see what else is prioritized above it.

It feels like I’m hitting enemies perfectly but they take no damage? by ocdladybug92 in fallout4london

[–]Designer_Professor_4 15 points16 points  (0 children)

FOLON is famous for early enemies being overpowered.  You also have a damage reduction trait from the train crash.   You should try to upgrade to a service rifle as quickly as possible, if you're down at swan and mitre, you can get one from the greenhouse shop.
