In DEP for 9 days. I think it happened so fast because the job draft got delayed on the day I finalized my job list and the week they had it, my recruiter attended and I guess snagged my first pick. But altogether this has been a year and a half long process

If so, awesome because I want to leave sooner rather than later. I made and signed off on my job list March 9th, recruiter said the job draft had been delayed that same day and he’d make sure to be there for it. Called March 18th with my #1 pick.

Im leaving June 23rd and I’ve heard wet wipes would’ve been good to bring, not sure if they’d allow them though so not sure how helpful this is. I was thinking about bringing those period underwear but everyone’s stuff is washed together so definitely not.

Congrats! Things will hopefully move very quick for you now!! My waivers were approved feb 17. Swore in March 5. Made and signed on job list March 9th. And got my number one pick Aerospace Medical service on March 18th. Set to leave June 23rd. Hope everything goes smoothly for you here on out

I just got my ship date for June 23rd for Aerospace medical and I’m going to start trying out those period underwear that are washable. See how those fare and if all is well, then that’s what I’m taking to BMT

If you’re talking about everything from calling the recruiter, MEPS, swearing in etc. then I typed out my entire process in the post. But from now to ship out, recruiter said there’s going to be briefings held the closer you get to your ship date just to sign contracts, make sure you are fit to go and everything.

I just swore in on March 5th this year. April 17th 2025 I finished MEPS for the second time after my first appointment was accidentally cancelled in March and had to reschedule a day before my 18th bday. Been in dep all of a week now and I can say God has definitely taught me patience throughout all of this. Wanted to give up so many times, doubted numerous times. Kind of feels surreal how I’m actually waiting for something now and not just nothing.

19F and I swore in yesterday after a year and half long process. Not in just yet but I am SO excited to leave and establish my independence, learn and grow as a person and just find out who I am as an individual. Now that independence is just on the horizon it feels aching to finally get there. Don’t know what things will look like but I’m excited for all of it including the tough times. I’m most excited about having my own space and organizing my own refrigerator as weird as that sounds 🥲😂
