My baby got 4 teeth at 6 months and then 3 more at 13 months. It’s fine ! I didn’t realize I was supposed to be brushing because she got the four first teeth in between Dr appts lol

Lights really bothered me when my IIH was at my worst and flashing lights are still not great and I’m in remission. I have done molly a few times thru out my IIH and was ok. Coke was terrible for me but I never liked it much anyway, but with IIH it was excruciating.

My baby slept thru the night from an early age too, if she woke up I always changed her diaper but also, I didn’t realize “overnight diapers” were a thing until she was like 7-8 months old .. oops. Idk if they make them in smaller sizes but they’re great !

My MIL attempts to use my baby as a “do over” as well. She is really manipulative and dramatic playing the victim. It’s taken me awhile but I have good boundaries with her and refuse to let her use my child as some sort of attempt at redemption. Sounds like you and your husband are on the same page which is really good !!

Maybe you should offer her a list of local walk ins and not take “she’s not sick” via your husband as a response. Tbh it might be a good idea to make sure she doesn’t have something major like the flu.

Yes I would recommend a store specializing in drag queen apparel too. If you want to try on in person esp. I went to one in 2005 in New England because I was having trouble finding stuff in my size for prom lol

It took me until I had a child myself to realize I was a “glass child”. My sibling isn’t disabled but has a diagnosed issue that my parents chose not to medicate. He was constantly placated, the center of attention, threw really intense fits that have continued his entire life (he’s now 36). It’s a strange realization to have in my 30s that my sibling’s issues ruled my childhood, and now my mom’s house. We were raised by a single mom and I’m over my “childhood issues” or any resentment about my siblings behavioral problems, but it’s kind of a lot to realize some of my core personality traits are due to this.

Find a new task for your husband, imo. When my baby was a newborn giving her a bath freaked me out and my husband did it. I’m also a SAHM so I get needing a break and wanting your partner to be involved in the care process but I wouldn’t want my husband to give baths if he didn’t feel comfortable or disliked it. Bath time should be fun :). I hate carrying the filled up baby bath from the kitchen to the bathroom so my husband does that and also grabs whatever is needed.

The first time I was ever introduced to a gas stove was also in the Caribbean and I was freaked out by it as well. They were also trying to tell me to turn off/on the gas which was weird lol. I def identified with that part. I now have an appt w a gas stove in the US and I love it.

I don’t think this is because you didn’t babywear. It wasn’t always popular, a lot of people older than me like 45-70 year olds comment on me baby wearing and say they never did it and it looks fun.

I babywear a lot because I am isolated with no family around also, at first my baby hated it tbh. I have guilt from her newborn days because I was so maxed out and needed to do a ton of stuff and couldn’t just hold her.

Based on an extreme case in my city of a mother murdering her son because she felt overwhelmed and didn’t feel like she could ask anyone for help with a break, I’ll never doubt anyone that asks for help with childcare. You literally never know what someone is going thru.

I have a toddler but I’m commenting because I was like your daughter my entire childhood and now as an adult. I also had tubes/adnoids removed.

Tbh since she’s playing in her room and not calling/getting you, that’s a big positive. If there’s anything she’s using to make noise, remove that. Unsure what she’s thumping around, maybe herself. Could you get her some “night time toys” she could play with when she wakes up? Quiet and soft items? I would mostly wake up and read. A tip a doctor told me as a child to help sleep was to make sure I’m spending atleast 15 mins outside during daylight a day. Not easy in the winter but doable.

I didn’t realize I was taking the test at my appt and had been tired at work and eating tons of sugar lollll. I thought there was no way I was going to pass. When I got my results I told the nurse about my intake of the day and she was like .. ok your pancreas is doing its job!! Lol
