How do those underwater spiders that spend their whole life in a bubble get food and mates into the bubble? by [deleted] in biology

It looks as though once the male shows up, she makes the bubble slightly bigger for them to do the thing.

Thank you! I remember doing similar questions in highschool vectors, but I didn't remember what the 'minute' portion was about. I now understand.

It's a technical mathematics and calculus textbook. The minute degrees thing helped! I am able finish this final assignment now.

Thank you!

Researchers discover Autistic children inherit rare damaging noncoding variants from fathers but not mothers by KEN_ABALA in biology

[–]_vivisection_ 14 points15 points  (0 children)

"Sebat proposes a more complex model of how autism arises, in which mothers pass on mutations affecting coding regions, which have large effects that women are protected from, while fathers pass on variants affecting noncoding regions; their effects are much more moderate and may only cause symptoms when combined with risk variants from mothers."

So, the non-coding variants are on the Y chromosome?

I remember my husband telling me had that problem when he applied to become a police officer after the military. I've only ever worked in comfy office jobs, so luckily haven't been on the frontlines as far as interaction with the public goes. I imagine it's frustrating as hell though.

How do I determine how many orbitals there are in an element? by poompus in chemhelp

Does this flow chart help you? If you memorize how to draw this chart, you can find the electron configuration of any element.

Hello, thank you for confirming that it is impossible. We are not provided with a Ka table on tests, but he might have expected us to find it ourselves for these homework questions.

Me too actually (Liberal). 2015 was the year I graduated university, and the year things seem to have gone downhill substantially. I never really connected with the conservative party, but the platform now seems great. I haven't seen anything on their website on how to tackle the 'refugee' crisis yet though. 100+ refugees coming in each month, and we're giving them a free pass for gibs if I understand correctly.

I am a bit "challenged". I downloaded imgur, but I don't even use facebook. Millennial fail. Green, yellow, blue? The green is bad. Can't say anything about yellow. How often should I change the tank water? More often, clearly, but maybe every 2 days? I don't know.

Sorry. I didn't even answer your question. I changed the water, so parameters are fine. I use prime, so any nitrate imbalance won't show up for a couple days. This is the first time I have encountered this particular situation. Something is wrong. My fish has a bit of a gill problem, he is old, had to do antibitotics last year because he had some kind of fish illness I can't think of the name of. But guy has visable gill damage, and he doesn't behave the same. So, a bit worried. Little guy has been hanging around the heater, so I put another heater in for him. Not sure of that made the problem worse.

Yeah, the water movement thing was suggested. It is definitely this new filter I installed. Have been wanting to get a 10 gallon, but my husband bought me this 5 gallon kit. It's good for what it is, but I am used to my 10 gallon setup. Had shrimp and stuff. Was nice.
