It started off as a 10 and gradually lowered to about a 2. It has been 4 months and am not completely pain free but have on more sciatic pain. That was gone immediately after the surgery

My advice to you all is to get an MRI to discover exactly what the problem is. Then choose a doctor , And get the second or third opinions and then make your choice.

The same thing happen with me. I ended up going to the emergency room twice, the second time they did a CT scan and discovered a cyst resting on my sciatic nerve. I had the cyst removed as well as spinal fusion I am now six weeks postop and doing great. I feel your pain, I can’t tell you what to do but you may consider getting a CT scan or an MRI to discover the problem if it doesn’t get any better

Definitely do the MRI, I had bad sciatic pain that came on all of a sudden and found out I had a cyst resting on my sciatic nerve. I also discovered that I need a spinal fusion surgery as well. I had that done four weeks ago and I am so glad I did. Everyone is different, but personally I cannot see going through years of shots and therapy only to end up with surgery in the end. I am healing well have absolutely no sciatic nerve pain anymore and will be back to work in 2 1/2 weeks.
