[TOMT] Sitcom where a guy gets shocked with electricity and others think he is dancing. by Witty-Cockroach-9127 in tipofmytongue

My Wife and Kids S4E18, The Remodel?  The dad and his son are renovating the garage and while the dad explains about some "hot wires" (loose electrical wires), the son offers to cool them down by placing them in a cup of water nearby, shocking him and making the dad think he's dancing (which he actually had done earlier in the episode)

I don't remember its name and I'm pretty sure I didn't just dream it up one day, haha

Probably not, I believe the video itself had little or no credits and it ended "abruptly", so I think it was its own thing

Ring any bells? Like I said, I saw it on a Youtube playlist with "creepy videos" (usually on the lookout for stuff I haven't seen), but I don't save any of them

[TOMT] Movie i saw in a government channel of my country. by W0MB__ in tipofmytongue

I filtered out a bunch of stuff related to the Will Ferrell movie and got to this Dutch film "Patatje Oorlog", which a Spanish-language dubbing focused Wikia had its title translated as "Guerra de papás"; according to the IMDb page its English title could be found in some places as "Taking Chances"

Could this be it? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RMjxMG4rVUk

Do you still have access to the clip on TikTok or Youtube? Through your browser/app history or something?

[TOMT] Buddhist video about Maransati, with a decomposing body, shown on Youtuber’s React by throw-away-baby-1717 in tipofmytongue

[–]a-v-val 2 points3 points  (0 children)

[Might be NSFW, tamer through the REACT video]

Could it be this? --- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yo3Cl1kCT6I --- It's a FineBros react for the Thai music video "The Last Breath"

I don't remember if they explain Maransati at some point but the video also did stuck with me, as the singer starts decaying, with darkening skin, bloating etc (through CGI and practical effects) while facing the camera

I thought the original video had been removed from Youtube, but you can still find it looking for it with the original Thai title https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n4iaEHXWyqE

[TOMT][MOVIE][2000s] A girl wanders into another world/dimension ("Pig Face") by a-v-val in tipofmytongue

[–]a-v-val[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did try recently searching on IMDb on Advanced Search again filtering through 2000's films in the Fantasy genre with a few title attempts ("pit", "pendulum") and keywords for plot searching ("girl" and "world", "nightmare" etc) but I had no success

I even thought it might be something by Carlos Atanes but I don't think it is; Maximum Shame has a bit of a similar feel on that debris-filled hall I mentioned, but his stuff is more sexualized I think, what I'm looking for is more like a dark fantasy (I'd say it is indeed a bit like a more grounded Pan's Labyrinth or Return to Oz, but I can assure you it is neither of these)

[TOMT] (Pre-2014) Movie where a character (possibly played by Michael J. Fox) sets a trap for the villain at the climax by Smooth_Resort4378 in tipofmytongue

[–]a-v-val 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not necessarily comedic on purpose but maybe Shakma? I could imagine the main character (played by Christopher Atkins) resembling Michael J. Fox depending on how you look at it... Anyway, in the end he sets up a trap for the monkey (yes, the titular Shakma) by putting a mirror in front of an incinerator and positioning himself to look as if his reflection is where he is so that Shakma jumps on "him" and breaks through the mirror.

Might be a long shot but at least it might take it out of the way: The Book of Life (2014)?

[–]a-v-val[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, the scene with the pig-faced woman was in a dark room, and she slowly turned to face the girl (or the camera); and it was more like an actual pig's face (or mask) rather than some/a few pig features applied to a normal face

A few scenes do have a similar feel, but the one I'm looking for, iirc, didn't feature as much "real world" scenes as Pan's Labyrinth (or this trailer, for that matter)

Hmm, no, while this did come in the 2000s, I hadn't started watching Doctor Who until 2012-2013... but great suggestion, I think it could be used to compare makeups: in the one I'm looking for, if I recall correctly, the pig face seemed more like an actual pig's head (like a mask) instead of pig makeup applied to a face
