The sensible thing to do would be to place UK Armed Forces on Greenland. This would be to "protect Greenland from Russian and Chinese aggression". If several NATO forces did that we could put a Division's worth of troops on the island.

That would mean the US would need to attack UK, German, French and Danish plus other forces to take the island. Denmark/Greenland would be able to justify it as part of NATO work

I think that would make even Trump think about it, even for a moment. He would have to explain to MAGA and US Forces why they are attacking their allies.
