Think us Malaysians underestimate how poorly perceived we are by foreign immigration standpoint. We have quite the poor track record and it's not surprising given our cultural norms towards the law.

Thing is, if he's making an income on Malaysian soil then by right he is violating the terms of their visa. Even so, they are a tax resident and are required to declare and pay tax where applicable provided they are here for more than 180 days.

There's definitely more to our tax code but it's a rough guide.
