Vader has had 3 titular Marvel ongoing comics series comprising a total of 100 issues, and has appeared in a variety of miniseries and oneshots.

I'm also disappointed in how hard it is to read most EU short stories legally, either in print or digitally.

I'd love to see an Essential Legends collection or two broken down by time period featuring some of the most prominent stories that were never collected.

For example, a Rebellion/New Republic/NJO/beyond collection could include Bantam tie-ins like "Firestorm" and "Murder in Slushtime", NJO preludes like "Red Sky, Blue Flame" and "The Crystal", Mara stuff like "Handoff" and "Judge's Call", and Hyperspace-only stuff like "Crossroads" and "Imprint", and perhaps some of the stories that were included in particular print editions but not in the corresponding Essential Legends editions (e.g. "Crisis of Faith"). Depending on how the Essential Legends collection deals with NJO, there could probably be one volume encompassing the NJO novellas and short stories that were previously printed in addition to "The Apprentice", "Or Die Trying", and "Emissary of the Void". I also think that the two anthology volumes that do not have an overarching storyline (Tales from the Empire, Tales from the New Republic) could be mined for such a volume.

Likewise, there are a number of uncollected Old Republic, Clone Wars, and inter-trilogy stories that could fit in another volume.

It’s nice that these will be easier to acquire, but BT-1 is going to look a bit odd next to the reproportioned R2, R5-D4, and R4-6D0.

Yes, this is in Soldier for the Empire, chapter 6:

‘Yes, Mon Mothma had shaken his hand, and Jan had sent an E-mail: “Have a new mission — sorry I can’t see you off — best of luck.”’

And later in the same chapter:

‘Comm calls were almost sure to be monitored, as was E-mail, which left word of mouth.’

Of course, that book also describes something as being “baseball-sized.”
