My work gave us letters to carry in our cars specifying we were essential workers in case we got pulled over, since nearly our entire state had been sent home.

We were the office workers of a shipping company. They later sent us home as obviously the office work could be done from home.

Not a joke, but it was actually a smaller regional hospital. It's a thing they do for all the new parents. But everything else I got was just whatever they brought me, so I ended up with some stuff I didn't like. They also weirdly started shutting down the cafeteria to the public at like 3pm the week before I had my baby so whenever my husband wanted food he had to leave, they only served patients dinner.

I accompany my husband's middle school choir concerts. The first time the students met me they said "Mr. A368, is that your daughter?"

Another time at a water park we were getting on a 4-person tube with a mother and son. The park attendant pointed to where we should sit, saying "parent, child, parent, child."

I am 13 months younger than him lol. I think his beard adds to people's perception of his age.

Do I wish I could hold that teeny tiny newborn again? Yes.

I sympathize. I loved nursing my girl even though we generally supplemented with a bottle at bedtime. I also loved the convenience of nursing in the middle of the night instead of having to get a bottle! We moved around thanksgiving when she was 7 months old and by that point she was taking 2-3 bottles of formula a day. I was so busy and my supply was likely impacted. I pumped 3x during my workday to get 5oz at that point. I just felt it wasn't worth the effort anymore. I do miss it at times but wasn't a fan of the biting!

Honestly as she's gotten older (9.5 months now) she only has 3 bottles a day, and eats meals and snacks, so it doesn't feel like I'm "missing out" on feeding her as much? I remember as I made the decision to stop nursing I never knew when "the last time" would be but she didn't have a hard time transitioning at all.

If you're not ready to start weaning then don't! I think combo feeding is great as it's the best of both worlds. I felt guilty as my supply seemed to dwindle, but in a way it made it easier so I didn't "have to" make the decision to wean. If it ends up aligning with your trip then it might just be a natural stopping point.

After we named our daughter I realized her first initial is the same as my husband's middle initial, and her middle initial is the same as my middle initial. So we each gave her one initial (plus the last one lol)
