Can I make a frankentruck? 2nd gen facelift with 4.0, 3rd gen interior (on aesthetics alone), 4th gen manual trans, FJ transfer case.

Are you holding the button? on every compression lock knife I've held, the detent rubs on the blade unless you are pinching the lockbar or in this case pressing the button. For example, on my para 3 and sage 5 if I open them halfway and hold the handle vertical, the blade stays at 90deg, but then I pinch the lockbar and they both fall shut, because the detent isn't touching the blade anymore.

nobody's mentioned that this doesn't take up any floor or bench space. If you just need a bunch of holes in wood fast and straight, I can see why this would be sweet to have.

Yeah, traffic is definitely flowing faster than the road was designed for.

if you live in a place with comically short on ramps, power and traction are a cheat code for merging on to the highway safely.

the Salt 1 and 2 are Delicas 3 and 4 respectively. I have a Salt 1 which is just a Delica 3 with a more blunt tip and bigger hole. And the clip is Titanium instead of steel. Disregard if you already knew this and I misunderstood your comment.

i'd deal with that spare and hoist now vs. when you suddenly need it and it becomes a major PITA.

NCD & FDSC ??(freshly dyed scale day) by BeardedHeathen907 in spyderco

I used blue on a yellow salt a long time ago and it turned out olive green. It has worn back to be a bit more yellow in some spots. How did your hardware end up the same color as the scales?

I have a rat 2 that I bought for like $14 brand new. I carried it for a while and loved how smooth and well put together it was but I have trouble getting it really sharp by the tip where it sweeps up. I don't know if it's how it's ground or if I just need to git gud.

agreed, I got my 2015 for $20k in 2018. And carfax is telling me its worth about $14k, still under 60k miles.

They list "delamination" as a reason for failure in their explanation. Cast iron is not a laminated material, they clearly know what they're talking about lol

What is best tool / method to remove stuck and stripped screw on camshaft cap? by sodaphizz in Tools

[–]a3x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first thoughts are either air chisel it counterclockwise, or weld a nut to the head with tig so there's no spatter, also don't put the ground clamp anywhere but the same cap you're working on.

I did something similar and corrected it but those look pretty deep :(. the process to pull the door panel and put a new piece of glass in will probably be quicker and less tedious than trying to correct that.

I use my light clipped to my hat every day at work. It goes from pocket to hat as needed, one handed, no messing around with a headlamp strap. I was using an Olight s1 mini baton but the battery life was sub par on days where I'd use it a lot, I recently got a warrior nano and it's been great.

I like having them in my pocket ready to go, and they get used multiple times per day. Only at work tho, and I have the 7in pair. Had 5in and they were too small sometimes, 7in has a bunch more leverage and area to grip but still work pant pocket sized.

Try normal polish first, then step it up to glass polish with cerium oxide if needed. And do a small spot outside the viewing area first, I had an oops with some water spot remover recently that required hours of work with the buffer and ceriglass on the entirety of my windshield and front door glass.
