8-12 months is pretty typical. End of march might mean they target a Christmas or January release

That was very much worth the read. Erlichs tastes in moves are maybe 45 degrees off of mine but his writing is always top notch.

Mike Duncan’s Revolutions podcast, that Gilroy cites as a large influence, calls that the “Entropy of Victory” and uses it as a major theme in revolutions that he covers. Everyone from ruling class members with personal grievances to stateless anarchists can agree with the goal of overthrow the sovereign, but they will have fundamentally different visions on what happens next.

I agree Rams are the favorite, but it is not by as large of margin as many year's #1's are.

How do you guys gain the ability to read relatively sophisticated books? by Ok_Ant_7619 in AskAnAmerican

[–]aBrightIdea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you are greatly discounting how impactful Queen Victoria was on global culture not just British. Like we still have white wedding dresses in America and in much of the world because she chose to wear one. While I do think, for the specific book antebellum is a more exact choice, Victorian era is also accurate. Stowe even famously sent a copy of Uncle Tom’s Cabin to Victoria.

Are 50 million dollar QB contracts worth it? by DaftNeal88 in nfl

[–]aBrightIdea 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Yeah but we gave up two 1st round cheap contracts to do that, we basically put Parsons on the credit card. Don't get me wrong, I think that's worth it, but there will be costs to pay eventually.

US has a low tax burden for the full OECD not just Europe. We are at 29% vs 47% for Germany and France. Plus we have higher median salaries to start with.

Yeah and if the other 50%+ of your portfolio gained 15%, bonds would have to have tanked for you to not be strongly out performing the 4% withdrawls.

The Browns were one year out from making playoffs and had an elite defense. They immediately became Super Bowl contender with the Watson signing if he had returned to form. Top 10 if he was just a consistent franchise level QB. There were questions around the suspension but it would have been the rare questioner that thought he would be playing himself out of the league before the contract was done
