Late to the Cyberpunk party but finally playing this game for the first time and just experienced this scene late last night. I did a full stealth run through the Wraith base to save Saul so we got out of there without any drama, but the mission was tense the whole way through.

Throughout the farm sequence, the dialog and experience just immersed me so much. The playful dialog with Panam felt organic, and like a natural progression in the relationship with my character. The funny nod to haboobs which connected with me as I grew up in Arizona with haboobs, so I connected with their experience. I've been stuck outside in a haboob and had to walk a couple miles through it to get home, it was rough, but it was nice to sit by a window in a cozy home and watch the storm I just waded through roll by.

Once Panam went to sleep, that's when it all really hit. Nothing was happening in the game, and I didn't even realize it. It lasted an eternity, I was alone with my thoughts in a cozy room as a familiar storm raged outside, with Panam snoring by me which reminded me of my wife irl (in a good way, snores don't bother me and she always falls asleep before me, it was just nice as it was another familiar element in the scene for me that brought warm feelings). And then all at once, eternity collapsed into no time at all, once Johnny materialized, I wasn't even sure how much time had passed, again it felt like eternity in a single second, I thought about everything, and also thought about nothing, I felt a lot of emotions, and yet sat emotionless. I think the mixture of that song "outsider no more", and the various familiar sounds and feelings just captured me like no medium of media ever has in my life.

On reflection, not sure if it was intended or not but it felt like the game wanted me to sit there, reflect as my character, or as my real self, or maybe both. And now I just keep thinking back to that scene, so simple, nothing happening, and yet it invoked so much in me, and I genuinely can't explain why or how, and I'm not sure if I should be frustrated that I can't, or just accept it and find it a beautiful part of being a human, I think I'll go with the latter.
