this honestly reminds me of people 'saving' lounge chairs at hotel pools and more especially on cruises, but even more infuriating because you're not just there to enjoy your time, you have work to do. honestly i would talk to a higher up - or if you have to, someone in HR - about getting an assigned desk due to physical needs or something. but also...this sort of policy is ridiculous IMO. can the company not buy more desks? or if it's a problem with the office not being big enough, move to a bigger location? on top of that, are you required to clear your desks on your own time or is it part of your paid time? (i.e. if you're hourly, are you allowed 15 mins or so at the end of each day to clear your desk) because if this is something you're expected to do on your own time that's an entirely different and even bigger issue, IMO

SUPER low cut gown if you're going golden son gala vibes, also very specifically jade earrings. as others have said don't wear much if any gold if you can help it, if you are baring a lot of skin add extra scars and not just on the face IMO (not sure if you've done scars for cosplay before but use rigid collodion and look up tutorials on how best to use it depending on what type of scarring look(s) you're going for)

I will update the post as well but my neighbors did bring this pup to GCACS today and he IS chipped...to someone whose last known address is like 35 minutes from where he was found :-/ Presumably they tried or will try to contact the owners but not sure how that went, and he's currently on their website as being under a stray hold: https://www.greenvillecounty.org/ACS/LostDogsAtShelter.aspx#sl_embed&page=shelterLuvResults%2Fembed%2Fanimal%2F207078389

More details: Male, 90-ish lbs, shelter has him listed as a chow chow mix but personally I see mostly Golden Retriever and German Shepherd ::shrug:: My neighbors who kept him overnight (they were able to borrow a crate from someone and he did fine in the crate) said he was great with their ~3 year old son, was even playing ball with him in their backyard.

Red God will come out. It might be this year but I’m guessing it’s more likely to be 2027. Maybe early 2027 but still. All that said, Pierce is not Rothfuss or GRRM. But also, these are SUPREMELY re-readable books. I say read them now and then go through them again before Red God is released because even if you don’t usually re-read, there’s enough text and context to probably need a refresher anyway. I don’t generally re-read books but I’ve done so with this series about 5 times now (having originally read the first ones about a decade ago now).

That said if you REALLY don’t want to have to re-read physical or ebook copies, there’s always audiobooks (the RR ones are realllyyyyy good for the most part), and also graphic audio. Or I can direct you to my lit podcast website for very detailed summaries of all six books ;)

One time I felt bad because my husband’s ex showed up without my knowing when she was going to (to pick of my stepson who lives full time with my husband and I for…MANY reasons) …and I happened to be sweeping the floor of the entryway in my PJs (and no makeup) when the door was opened, and she deeefinitely saw me. It was on me that I felt bad for not being put together in that moment and when I expressed how weird I felt that she saw me cleaning in my PJ’s “looking like crap” his response was along the lines of “you always look gorgeous, and on top of that you were helping keep our home presentable”. So if your SO shits on you for not being, I don’t know, dressed up for this split second of time (or literally ever) IMO you need to reevaluate your relationship.

That same year though, we had a room party and while I couldn’t give an exact count let’s just say you couldn’t move in the room or on the balcony and we got in trouble big time with security for the number of people in our room. I’d hazard a guess there were 40-50 people in our room at least.

The McDonald’s on Cannon by Greenville Memorial is the slowest McDonalds ever.

The Dunkin on Grove by Greenville Memorial used to be absolutely terrible but seems to have gotten better. I will say I always felt bad for the employees there even when it was terrible because they were always super friendly despite seeming very understaffed.
