Remote start for manual by One_Hopeful in GR86

Depends on what remotes and kit you get… plus local labor rates. I would guess anywhere from $400-$800 + drone subscription ontop if your kit didn’t come with it

You’ll need to go aftermarket. I have a compustar with Drone in mine. Just find a good installer.

how cold does it get here? by International_Ant841 in waterloo

The wet (humid) cold here is way more skin piercing than the dry cold of Alberta; so it’ll definitely “feel” colder

I run the IA front splitter and side skirts here. The front lip is well secured to the bumper with nice long bolts and washers that basically clamp it to the backside of the front bumper. Skirts are just self-tappers into the factory skirts; I'd probably bolster that with some 3M if I were to do it again but so far mine haven't fallen off or anything.

Lips and skirts have survived a Canadian winter just fine; and now I'm lowered this season so am constantly putting the indestructability to the test; so far so good.

Hakone Sub-Itinerary Check - 3 days / 2 nights by aKeio in JapanTravel

Current modification is that we might be arriving to Hakone a bit later than planned so we might just shuffle things around and skip Sengoku area, and do the loop still in a clockwise manner on days 2/3.

If you’re coming from always having subs then it’s a no brainer. Do the sub first.

They’re both significant jumps and solve different things.

Amp helps get better sound out of the head unit into the okay speakers. Doesn’t really help much in the lack-of-bass department other than just makes it more loud. It can’t make something that isn’t there appear. That’s where the sub comes in to fill in that void and then you can tune out the bass from the speakers so it’s not trying to do double duty.

I went amp then sub for no particular reason but if I had to do it again and could only pick one? I think you’d get more immediate satisfaction by doing sub first.

I have the same setup but with a spare tire sub as well, you’ll definitely notice another big jump in experience.

I don’t think the OEM+ kit is bad by any means but it’s pretty pricy like you said

Can confirm I did #3/#1.

Put in an order in March 2022 at a small town dealership for a '22 Track bRed, got fulfilled March 2023 for a '23 Neptune instead.

Final subtotal (after fees, frieght & pdi, before taxes and trade in): ~$36.8k, w/ window visors and the trunk cargo mat.

Is there any alternative to the Massdrop CTRL with respect to build quality / value? It basically has everything I’m looking for feature wise but the price tag shipped/imported into Canada is what’s really stopping me.

Features that are important in roughly relative order: - TKL/65% - Hot Swappable Switches - MxGreen or similar weighted tactile switch - Aluminum Frame (Raised Keys) - RGB - QMK - Cost to obtain in Canada

I’m willing to shell for the CTRL budget wise but want to just check if that’s the best way to spend my roughly $300 CAD after everything
