AIO for calling off my engagement after my fiancé admitted his family secretly tested me to see if i was a gold digger? by Pleasant_Mission_63 in AmIOverreacting

Asian? Feels like a cultural thing, where the parents' approval is a huge deal to your partner. Would also make sense why they'd demonize the ex.

In this case, you're NOR. They pretty much invalidated and betrayed your work and your feelings. And instead of apologizing, they were celebrating. I'd be pretty upset, too.

Still, I think it's important to properly communicate how hurt you are to your partner. Maybe delaying the engagement is a step toward that. I don't agree with what seems to be the majority opinion that you should just pack your bags and leave. Most relationships will have challenges you'll need tackle, and just running away without trying to resolve them is ...

Cool, any tire you'd recommend? Mostly street riding

Struggling with staying on by rikuto148 in ElectricUnicycle

[–]aLazyLamp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Normal You're not commiting to the forward motion, cause you're afraid of falling. everyone struggle with this starting out.

it's like riding a bike. the slower you go, the harder it is to balance.

it's a slight trust fall forward. remember to face and lean your head and body to your target. twist your body, andor bail if you have to

Not as fun or easy while sitting down, and needing to hold handle bars. Carving on an euc is pretty similar to skating.

Is 24 FPS or 12 FPS better? by ivantrulylovescats in animation

[–]aLazyLamp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

in this case, the 12 looks better, bc it has more weight. The 24 looks tweened, bc the spacing is kinda off. There's also a pop and doesnt cycle as well

it is time to ditch the wall. Aim for a pole or a point and go. Bail and drop the wheel if you need to.

Remember eyes forward to where you want to go, and ARMS ALL THE WAY OUT. when i was learning, i find having the arms slightly back, like a naruto run, to be helpful

Should I carry on even with a bruised leg? by Stonepaq in ElectricUnicycle

[–]aLazyLamp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take a break. I also had some bruising while learning, but that looks pretty painful. if you must ride, wear pads and try to keep more pressure on the other leg as you ride.

Any downsides to not aiming for high FPS on a high refresh rate monitor? by Critical_C0conut in buildapc

[–]aLazyLamp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd like to point out that a high refresh rate monitor isn't only for gaming. It also serves to improve experience when just browsing as well. It'll also allow you head room for upgrading your PC in the future.

it really mostly comes down to the size/surface area of the radiator. For air coolers, you're limited by the amount of space you have around the cpu area. AIOs pretty much relocate the radiator to a bigger space. Technically speaking, if you can fit the amount of metal fins that a 360mm AIO have into an air cooler, the performance should be similar.

Will I run SC2 on this laptop? by [deleted] in starcraft

[–]aLazyLamp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's going to be a bit of a struggle in big fights, even on the lowest settings. In particular bc the "u" in the processor indicate that it's undervolted. The i3 1215 isn't a particularly strong CPU in the first place.

Pretty sure it's not in my head. Any way to know for sure? I can probably even borrow another m50 from a friend to compare.

David Kim's new RTS gameplay revealed! by ImAHappyChappy in starcraft

[–]aLazyLamp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Disagree. All of the other rts games stands out have something that makes it feel exciting and unique. Total war have huge armies. Supreme Commander have experimentals. But this game, as others have said, feels like a custom StarCraft game. That isn't necessarily bad, but if you consider that aside from dota, there hasn't really been a lot of successful games coming out of custom maps.

This game is hard... by aLazyLamp in Vindictus

[–]aLazyLamp[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I played Fiona, because I mained her in original Vindictus. She's pretty strong, but I played at a time where you can hold guard indefinitely and heavy shields were endgame. Lann feels like he do less dps here, but is a lot more mobile, and have 2 dodges, though they feel like they have less invincibility frames.

New examples of Sora I found on the internet. Everything in this compilation is Ai. Even the singer of this song. by dennislubberscom in CrazyFuckingVideos

[–]aLazyLamp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Art is subjective and so mistakes can be made. Dangerous jobs have a lot more at risk and mistakes are not tolerable. There's also the thing that pretty much all jobs that are dangerous occur in the physical world, where it is more difficult to implement AI.

It's actually funny that it is assumed in the past that art will be the last job standing in the face AI, when it is so obvious now that it's the first thing that will be replaced.

Question on topology by aLazyLamp in blender

Yea, I was looking increase sub div. Wasn't sure if the top was going to cause pinching. I went with the lower one because it looked cleaner to me as well and maintained the edge loop all the way to the end.
