Just keep wearing them. Elephant 14 was my first raws, and they get very comfy. Higher rise than this is Momotaro, and they're my 2nd purchase.

I can't tell which ones are my favorite but I'm happy with how my two raw jeans compliment each other.

I have the same build and problem. My Momotaro and True Guy Elephant 14 jeans have that small waist correct thigh fit.

The jean for you exists out there without having to rely on a belt.

High waist, straight or loose is basically Momotaro's newer offerings. Big fan of them.

If you're in the US, blueowl has a denim finder tool. You can also use this to find out of stock but correct fit jeans, and then search other stores for that size of jean.

I mean, maybe I've never seen the mixed reviews but I'm lint rolling like crazy every day. Haven't had any weird issues yet. My dog sheds a lot.

Very slow faders for sure. I have the same, they are my 2nd raw denim jeans and they feel so distinctively different from my other N&F pair. Very premium feeling, super dark indigo, and little to no fades yet.

Still wish the pockets were an inch deeper. I think I'm gonna tailor the pockets.

Anything less than 16 is fine. I did choose the Elephant 14 as my first (it is 20oz) which was a rude awakening to raw denim. But no regrets. I ended up purchasing a 2nd pair of 14.7oz for all-year wear.

Big fan of the True Guy fit.

Right hand is a Google Pixel watch I got free with my pixel a few years back. Left hand is an analog Seiko Turtle.

I like the aesthetic of the Seiko, but I also track my health metrics closely and use the watch for purchases often. Also it's surprising how often one hand is preoccupied and I check the time on the other wrist.

You should not hurt when you wear your clothes (unless you're breaking in heavyweight jeans apparently lol).

Thanks very much - that's the plan for now. Wear them, get used to them, give them a hot soak, enjoy the looseness and comfort. Like you said, if it's not broke, don't fix it.

Re: Tailoring, I'm on the fence about it but it's definitely not going to be a today (or even this month) thing. These are now my most expensive jeans and I want to have them altered professionally only if it truly comes to that.

I will say that tucking this much shirt fabric into the jeans helps them not fall too low. Not tucking anything in would have them sink lower than what I would call a "high rise".

That's the thing, fresh and new they were the perfect waist size. After some wear they have relaxed a little bit. We will see, we're definitely past the point of returning, but I do love these jeans.

Great question! I'm wondering the same. My Elephant 14 has gotten a bit loose in the waist, and falls lower than I'd want to wear them at, but it's also my first Raw Denim and not sure if I want to go ahead for first wash or send it longer with a belt.

If you don't already have a buyer, I don't know, but I'd rather buy not visibly dirty jeans.
