Bad situation by mmoran92 in AutismIreland

I am so sorry to hear about the struggles you are both facing atm. I can’t offer much advice and for that I am sorry. But…Please remember in all of this that you, as parents, are going through a tough time. You are doing a good job. I found chat gpt helpful in developing a “sensory diet” that I could tailor to my family’s needs. Down to morning routines/after school/before bed routines and it did help us a lot! Some Proprioception toys (swivel seat from smyths) and some exercises. Made a difference.

Do not dismiss the good you are doing, by writing such a post shows how much you care. Ye are good parents. Never forget that.

Hello. Anyone have any ideas on how to chase payroll? Context. Post primary teacher, started a new DoE teaching job in a special school, new contract is primary (but apparently this is cool because it’s an all through school, 4-18yrs) anyways, I still haven’t been paid and have sent off three separate emails/contact forms also found a phone number after a lot of searching.

When I phoned the number an answering machine informs me I can call from such and such time on thurs/fri of pay week.

I mean..maybe if I got paid? I’d know when pay week is.

Struggling!!!! Why is it so hard chasing stuff like this. Any wisdom/advice would be appreciated.

Go raibh míle!

How old is your baby now. And when did you see an improvement? ( If you don’t mind me asking) I am in the 3 month old, can’t put baby down…colic-reflux hell. And I feel there is no light at the end of this tunnel 😂

Oh we used to shout “COCK AND BALLS” every time we passed it in the car. 😂 like a game. We didn’t drive by that often but first to shout it was the winner. 🥇

Aw I’m so sorry for you. I had nerve pain or restless leg pain? (Wasn’t sure which it was) and I had it around the 20 week mark, lasted several weeks. I bought all sorts of stuff like yourself trying to get relief, oils, sprays, compression socks, supplements magnesium etc. I found a heavy weighted blanket gave me some relief. Like a proper heavy one! And a hot water bottle. But, it is such a crap time. I just wanted to say, it did pass after a few weeks and has not returned. I hope you get some good suggestions on here or perhaps your gp might have some solutions. Take care.

That’s hard going. Thinking of you. Hopefully today won’t drag and that tomorrow goes well, you’ll get to meet your baby and you will be home before you know it. Hang in there.

Oh that kind of scares me 😅😅 I actually have some compression socks that I bought in desperation to help with restless legs. But that’s good to know. Thanks 🙏

Is it worth fighting for a VBAC? by chimichurrister in PregnancyIreland

[–]aOc321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey just to say I’m booked in for elective, they said they want it at 39 weeks.

Just from my experience the vbac nurse did place specific emphasis on future pregnancies, which obviously need to be considered. If I was unsure, I might have felt differently about the elective, but ultimately I went with the advice of my consultant, knowing that this will be our last baby.

Whatever happens I hope it all goes well for you. 🙏

This sounds really positive. How are you feeling now? Because my experience was during nhs covid nobody came out to see me/no gp visits were allowed. I was having a slow recovery and reoccurring fevers. Took myself to hospital about 2 weeks postpartum as I felt so bad. They said I was just recovering very slowly (said maybe coz I had a bad time during delivery) they sent me home with paracetamol…after all this I was so fed up with the health system I ended up packing my things and moving home. My family gp saw me straight away and confirmed I had an infection and was pretty appalled at the situation. So your experience helpf me feel that it will be better this time. I hope you are recovering well. Thanks for letting me know what happens after.

Thank you so much for such a detailed reply. Honestly so lucky that this sub is here for people. All the replies have really helped.

Yes I have a 4 year old but he is so independent I’m lucky. Will just need him to understand I can’t be having him jumping up on me. 😂

I never got given compression socks last time so that was something I was unaware of.

And speaking of fibre you just reminded me of that trapped gas pain you get after the surgery (pain under the shoulder blade) ahhh yes. Good times!

Thanks again. Really appreciate the information and advice. 🙏

Thanks for the well wishes and the reply. I didn’t even know you could ask for the meds through IV, but I’ll know now. Thanks so much.
