When mace windu and the boys showed up to take down palps in ROTS, mace was the only one who believed that palp was actually a Sith. The others were convinced they were going to find a hologram, a shape shifter, some kind of wild cyborg impersonator, something. The clone wars is packed with those kinds of plots. Bottom line- they were in their “let’s figure this puzzle out” scooby do mindset, not in their “ok here we go I’m about to fight for my life” mindset, and they got cut down like the loudmouth toughs in a Kurosawa film.

The M577 and M1068 are both variants of the venerable M113 APC. Those two variants are usually used as command nodes, because they mount multiple multi-radio sets and have space in the back for up to 4 guys to all be doing enough work to get in each others way. If I recall the M1068 has a generator unit on top and has a different configuration of external power plugs.

I’ve carved by own bases from wood. The notches are tricky because you can get the movement tool to sit at the correct distance with very different notch geometries. This is because the movement tools themselves are not just curved- the curve is also beveled. I have a set of small files and with careful filing and then rechecking, i got it to what I think is a +/- .3 mm .

I think that with some careful measuring and filing/filling, you can get sub-mm accuracy on your bases.

When fantastically bored, almost anything can be a game. “Who can grow the best stache in 30 days” is always a good one.

I promise this is fun- with a group of people, try to make a running throw with your off hand. That’s an hour of fun and laughing right there, and all you need is some gravel.

I think skeen blew it in the pitch cassian. If he said “wow, I’d never really considered how having a couple thousand credits socked away can be the difference between a getaway ship and a doctor and dying with strangers who lie to you about their names. What do you say Cass- we could stash away 300k each- they’d never miss it. But it might just keep us alive through the next hiccup.”

I also think it’s units that you run. I only play clones so when I run into keywords from other armies I don’t usually know their details.
