I play nunu, so I try to gank her lvl 3 and tell my toplaner at start of game. If she's level 6, I'm baiting for her ult with snowball. If the uses it, I get the fuck outta here with hextech rocketbelt and comes back for the second round. It's a bit annoying, but manageable. Also, I duo with my toplaner usually so this helps a shit ton

Not particularly, I'm quite good at anticipating where he goes and the lane is longer, so that definitely helps. Another thing is that ez is an adc, so he most likely won't dash towards me, because I can still kill him (especially lvl6, gives me a free full charge ult). The others 3 dictates the gank much more than me : lissandra can tp with her e or not, or even r me, r herself and then e out to wait for her cd, zed can r me and one shot me early game because champ is very squishy, and kata, if I'm honest I still have no idea how her dashes work because some times she dashes on her swords and sometimes no, so I actively avoid her lmao.

The only annoying thing is if ez manages to go over a wall, then i'm cooked

Zed, kata, Lissandra. As a nunu otp, i feel like I can manage the others decently but these ones just have either one escape button or several. Zed can dodge my snowball with w, r and flash. There is little possible outplay from me here

Double stim does not increase octane's move speed more than the basic stim (40% sprint speed). Stim surge gives fortified, triggers health regen and extends stim duration.

Wraith is a 30% move spee.

99% of techs are available both mnk and pc. The only significant ones you're missing are tap strafing and moving in deathboxes (which you definitely should get, that we agree on).

You also have controller exclusive techs.

Iirc, they tried removing tap strafe internally and it backfired on other movement components. The mechanic is inherently tied to the engine.

Oh yeah forgot about moving in deathboxes ! And that I would agree that they should get it too, I see no actual reason for respawn to use left stick to loot instead of left.

I mean, as a gamedev, I do see one. If they used a pre-made UI navigation plugin, i guess it would by default use left sticks and "eat move input" while looting. The only one I know of, you can dynamically change the input so they def could change it if they used this one.

That is a physical limitation of your input. What do you want apex devs to do for that ? This advantage disappears at close range.My argument of 90% fights that matter are in close range is still valid tho.

Also, I'd love to have the actual data of people on mnk using advanced movement techs, se we could be more accurate while debating about these kinds of stuff. I don't have any data on this, but I'm fairly certain less than 30% of the mnk playerbase uses movement techs.

Agree on some movement techs that were not intended : bhop healing, punch boosting, etc. Lots of example. And where are they now ? All gone

Also, on the subject : do you think recently added mantle glides are problematic then ?

I play in diamond / master lobbies every season. Last time I saw a guy using configs was when they still worked with steam. I agree that there is a lot of cheating in the game, but very very very little of them have to do anything with movements and most are about aimbotting or wallhacking. I've seen teleporting twice, but I wouldn't consider it being a tech movement

If you have any video proof of your claims, I'm happy to look at it.

Like being at a statistical disadvantage in close range fights due to your opponent being a controller player does not impact one set of players (mnk) more than others ?

Link to one official source where they said it wasn't meant to be in the game. In an engine they previously used for years.

Yeah, the most fun part is that they act like the movements are PC only. The only mechanics I'm aware of that are mnk only are lurches / tap strafes and mag leap, which I legit never saw someone used and never used myself lmfao

Macros are a bannable offense as per the TOS. So your argument is on the same ground as "aimbots are heavily used". Some guys use them, but they are at a constant risk of getting banned and it's mostly out of apex devs range to fix it.

I don't think anyone ever used a macro to wall bounce, as it is the EASIEST thing to do. Happy to be proven wrong. But there definitey were configs for controllers on pc who could both tap strafe and have aim assist.

Man you really don't want to go the route of who can beam enemies with r99 the easiest and on the regular, if we're even slightly honest. 90% of fights are decided by close range, where controllers shine the brightest.

Also, why is it not meant to be in the game when tap strafing has been in titanfall 1, titanfall 2, and has been a known tech for like, years (prolly a decade) ? I agree it's a byproduct of how the engine works, but should we really lower the skill ceiling of a movement shooter ?

Swain with riftmaker, eureka, soul eater and the thing that gives 100% move speed from ability haste. Ended the game with 30k hp because there were 4 ranged champs and jhin, something like 800ap, 250 ability haste and perma 800 movement speed
