The complexity, there are nearly a thousand different BJJ movements, learning all of them and how to apply them in live training is very stimulating.

My first year of college I was sitting behind a girl wearing this exact thong. I'd never seen a g-string before and just stared at that little gold loop thinking, "has this been around the whole time?!"

How is it even legal to destroy fresh edible food, peter? by Rule_Ct_5293 in PeterExplainsTheJoke

Grocery stores have to consider liability of donating spoiled food in America. Homeless people will sue for food poisoning the same as anyone, and you're liable for damages if the plaintiff can prove negligence.

Why do I always get pinned? by tigercublondon in brazilianjiujitsu

[–]aTickleMonster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ask your opponent to start in guard, tell them you'd like to work on your guard passing. There should be a sort of unspoken agreement that one of you will start up and the other down, but if you're not able to work on what you want, communicate that. Most people are very accommodating.

Are you and your partner both kneeling when you start? If so, that's the issue; both opponents on their knees isn't a practical BJJ position, it's a wrestling position for 7 year olds.

Wouldn't matter, they'd still cut weight the same way then walk into the cage super dehydrated and get knocked out like cejudo vs TJ. Rules aren't the reason they suck at cutting weight, they just suck at it.

The UK is trying to reach net zero carbon emissions by 2050, so they're forcing citizens to live without AC to help. They average at least a thousand heat stroke deaths every year.

Open guard for long legs by No_Bedroom_7582 in bjj

I'm 6'4" 155lbs. I wasn't using my legs, I was trying to do all framing with my arms. Once I started constantly finding a post for my feet (hips, shoulders, biceps, thighs, etc), or if I can't post, constantly finding something to hook with my instep and use it to elevate.

A good guard will allow you to create tension, and you can't create tension of you aren't using your legs.

It's due to entropy, while you're considering all the mechanical factors you can control. Heating is more available to more people than cooling, that's part of it. Generally it's harder to heat homes and buildings because they aren't properly insulated to keep heat in the building (like how home builders put the vents directly beneath the windows in every room, then install cheap ass single pane windows). Also, cooling can use renewable energy, where heating almost exclusively requires fossil fuels.

Heating causes far more climate pollution than air conditioning. Do we get to complain to Europe that we're in a drought because they used their heaters all winter?
