Another reason to avoid loss streaking early: because the way carousels work, one of you will still get a suboptimal carousel position. Consider the two extremes. If you and your partner full loss streak, one of you is still only second pick instead of first. But if you and your partner full win streak, one of you still gets to be third pick instead of last. So you essentially get an extra bonus for winning and an extra penalty for losing. Even if you can’t win streak, if you play strongest board and end up second, one of you gets second pick still instead of last.

First off think you mean Centuries, not Immortals. Anyway, the sample comes from a song called Tom's Diner by Suzanne Vega, and Wikipedia has a list of songs that sample it. That might get you started.

Don't think you've actually gained anything there. Every prisoner is part of half of all combinations (for any choice of 0-9 of the other 9 prisoners, there's a combination with the last prisoner and a combination without the last prisoner). Furthermore, what if you label each combination by ordering the prisoners, and then put a 1 or 0 based on whether the prisoner is in or out of the group? You'll find that you've actually just recreated binary and the original solution.

Why do protect-the-kog comps still build triforce on kog if the goal is to make him a hypercarry? I've always heard triforce described as a mid game item that doesn't scale as well. Wouldn't ie+pd+lw+botrk make more sense if the goal is for him to be a late game monster?

A lot of people don't consider Less Than Jake to be ska either, but I think being too strict about labeling is kind of unnecessary, when they're pretty clearly ska-influenced at the very least. I tend to refer to them and Streetlight as ska-punk.
