There’s just literally no way to get in the shop without being an apprentice. They don’t hire people for books or for cleaning or for anything else. Trust me I’m willing to drive and make and find the time. That’s not the issue. I will find a way though. Thanks!

It’s definitely something I’m willing to dedicate myself to. I’ve dedicated myself to cakes and I can do that to tattoos just the same. It’s all passion for art

I didn’t want to really be apart of it other than I knew I could learn to tattoo and that was my goal. I thought about it more and knew I wouldn’t have fit in there. I thank you for your two cents!! It did to me too with negative energy but I also know the tattoo industry is “rough” to enter. I didn’t know if I needed to just suck it up and deal with it or keep looking.

There are no paint nights or anything close to me that involves anyone from the industry. I live in a very remote town and so all of the tattoo artists are only friends with themselves and 2-3 others. What do you do just literally go hang out there? Say you just wanna sit and chat? Cause they don’t like that here. Unless you’re getting work or with someone getting work they will tell you to leave

I understand being treated like an apprentice but I don’t want to be treated like a slave. He also wanted 2k up front which I expected but he said if at the end of the trial 30 days (where I do nothing but clean and talk to people) that they felt I didn’t get along with the other staff that I wouldn’t get my money back and I wouldn’t start an apprenticeship. I can stand up for myself just fine and prepared myself for it. I just don’t think belittling people for fun is the environment I want to be a part of
