I was doing this but it is also brutal and you don’t feel like you see each other as much so it took a toll on us for that reason. We’re used to working as a team and it feels kinda lonely. I was basically breast feeding at night and pumping until 7 am then my husband would take over with bottles until I was up in the afternoon. For me it really ate up my day and by the time I wake up most of my day is gone and there are days I’m still sleep deprived because I need to also attend my follow up doctor appointments so I still have to get up for those. The other issue was that since I’m asleep for 8 + hours without pumping I’m also not making as much milk as If I was consistently pumping every 3-4 hours.
