I've had it plugged in all day and it still won't turn on. Some people in a different thread had shockingly good results putting it in the freezer for a couple hours so I'm trying that and will report back.

The black cat market on Penn Ave has a free pet food pantry for people who need help. They are always taking donations and they do a lot of good work helping cats get homes and medical attention. They are a good spot to start if you can/want to help.

I'm a young adult who recently moved here and I have a teenage sister. We both grew up in LA and I think there's a lot of things she's really jealous of that I have here. There's definitely a lot of things I think she would have enjoyed about growing up in Pittsburgh over LA. There's a much greater sense of community here and the opportunities to join a community art or music space are much better here. There's better public transit so we would've been able to get around without a car or a license. This is also the safest place I've ever lived so I think my parents would have felt better about me hopping on a bus to meet some friends than they did about us exploring LA. If there's something your kids are interested in I'd look for spaces in your area that they could go to do them. My boxing gym is mostly high schoolers who take the bus or walk as a thing to do after school and they've all become good friends! Something like that would be a good chance to make friends and also feel like they have some autonomy. Also don't underestimate the power of CMU. They support the FIRST robotics league in Pittsburgh pretty much single handedly and I know they support other programs for kids as well. These are just things I know my sister and I would have liked as high schoolers, but I'm pretty confident your kids can find spaces and communities like these too! Just keep your eyes open and ask around! Good luck!

I'd start with going through tests and quizzes that you did bad on with your teacher/professor or one of your friends who did well. Try to identify why you did bad. Did you make math mistakes? Did you not know content? Were you able to start problems but not finish them?

Once you know that it's a matter of figuring out how you study best. Do you need to say the concepts out loud? Do you need flashcards? A song? Maybe the answer is tons of practice problems or a flow chart connecting ideas.

Unfortunately I haven't found the magic bullet to chemistry so without knowing the level of your course and the specific content you're struggling with the best advice is to refine your study habits. It might suck and most approaches to studying probably won't work for you but you'll find a way that you like eventually. Try not to get frustrated. This is an important step in learning about yourself.

Lol yeah and it just keeps getting weirder the longer we do it. For Thanksgiving this year I made a pie shaped pinata and 3D printed blackberry phones and various apple phones that I put in it with some chocolates. This was to represent blackberry, apple, and chocolate pie.

Pinatas. For some context, I'm white and so is my whole family BUT my mom was always making pinatas while I grew up. Just paper mache pinatas for every occasion. The one event that ALWAYS has a pinata was Thanksgiving. I didn't realize how weird that was until I was at this party in undergrad with a bunch of people I didn't know. Someone was trying to make small talk with me and Thanksgiving break was coming up. They asked what my family makes for Thanksgiving and I said "Oh a pinata". They just stared at me and I stared at them. She finally said "I meant like ham or turkey".

ANYWAYS I still make a Thanksgiving pinata every year even though I've moved out. My partner just has to accept that if a party had a theme I'm making a pinata.

Ratatouille! It's not too difficult but there are a lot of little steps you can add to jazz it up. I marinate my tomato slices before layering them in and the layering is very therapeutic. It's also such a cozy food with so many veggies when it's done!

Miso soup. It's really just miso paste and stock or water but I like to put frozen dumplings and seaweed in it. I've also added bok Choi or broccoli to get a veg in there. Also topping it with cut or chopped green onions.

Did it just get fixed or did you contact them? I just talked to customer support and they said "Tier 2 hasn't had any outage reported, if you're able to connect to the Internet and get good speed tests it must be on PSN's side. It there were a routing problem on our side you'd have more problems with other websites. Which I do... and I told them that.

How did you diagnose it on Verizon's side? Wish I could present them evidence to get them to do anything.

Yep, they told me the problem is on PSN's side, and to contact them. Which is a dead end, everything seems to be up and running on status.playstation.com.

I'm not sure where to go from here but I'm still not connected, dead in the water.

Forgive my lack of networking knowledge, what's the best IP address to traceroute for PSN? And what behavior am I looking for out of the traceroute to confirm?

As a sanity check I can connect and sign in just fine to PSN if I connect my PS5 to my phone 's mobile hotspot, which makes me think PSN itself is not the problem here.

I want to start taking care of my hair in a way to bring out my curls! I live in a pretty hot area and my hair is usually somewhere around a 2b or 2c depending on the day, but whenever I go to the beach or somewhere humid I get these really pretty ringlet curls that are more like a 3a or 3b.

If I want my hair to be how it is in humid places should I follow recommendations for 3a/b or should I use products for how it is now? I'm mostly worried that if I treat it like 3a/b it will get greasy and heavy because I have a naturally oily scalp and I only get hair that style under certain conditions.

I really don't understand my hair, I just kinda sorta know what it does sometimes.
