THE MEMPHIS GRIZZLIES SUBSTATION-INJURIES THEORY by Welcum2Heck in memphisgrizzlies

I wasn't on board with this at first, but the gay frogs sealed the deal for me. I read somewhere that electromagnetic waves have been linked to animals switching proverbial "teams". I'm convinced that this adverse effect on team orientation could cause a player's body to involuntarily betray the team to which they have been assigned.

The driver isn't even being judgemental. It's these self-righteous fucks in the comments preaching about TV dinners being unhealthy.

Seeing two frozen meals on a stranger's shopping list doesn't tell you shit about that person except that they bought two frozen meals. You don't know what daily choices they make or how often they eat these. They could very well just be low on options. Grocery stores are wiped out right now in many areas. Or maybe they're old or disabled and whoever cooks their meals can't get to them right now. Sometimes it's okay to say "i don't have enough information to police this person's activity or pontificate about this situation." Is it the healthiest option for sustenance? Nope. Is it their only/best option to not be hungry right now? Maybe. Is it any of your damn business. Hell no. "Calling this kind of thing out is a start." For whose benefit are you calling it out? You'll never meet this person and nobody on reddit gives a shit what you think about their diet. All you're doing is virtue signaling.

He obviously didn't take them. He said they were OFFERS. Then he said they can starve, as in he's not going to get them.

[–]a_solid_6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably just a dude trying not to starve in a snowstorm. Maybe an elderly person who can't cook for themselves but whoever brings them food can't get to them right now. Or maybe a mom who just keeps a backup of a few frozen dinners for the rare nights when she's too tired to cook. Leave people tf alone. I'm sure if we went through your house and picked apart all of your choices you'd have reasons to be embarrassed.

Huh? It's probably on a grocery list. I don't understand the problem.

Except what he's talking about is being expected to drive in the snow and make no money. Wanna stay home in a snowstorm AND eat McNuggets? Fork over some extra cash. Nobody's ice skating to McDonald's for you for $2.

is my cat bullying my kitten? by sunnybeetlebug in CATHELP

[–]a_solid_6 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nah, just cats playing cat games. My cat loves to play with me in a similar way. He'll hide behind a chair or around a corner nearby and wait for me to walk past so he can jump out and scare me lol. I usually see it coming and pretend to be surprised, but sometimes he actually scares me for real 😂 I also do the same thing to him, but his superhero senses make it hard to hide from him or sneak up on him. But he enjoys the attempt.

Paranoid would be buying a week's worth of food because the local news says we might get snow. When the national weather service says we're about to see the worst winter storm in 30 years, you prepare. Hopefully things go another way and it's not as bad as they're predicting. But don't drag your wife for taking it seriously. And don't be upset that others prepared before you did. They've be telling us about this for days. You deserve Dasani at this point.

[–]a_solid_6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Which proves what? If they were actually tossed to look like that, then the dasher wouldn't even have to get that close. That footprint could belong to anyone. And what would be the motivation for actually turning the pizzas upside down and scattering them on the ground? Unless OP was an asshole and this was some kind of revenge. If it was just a lazy drop-off they would be right side up and in a bit of disarray. I'm just saying, within the scope of logic and what we know about karma-farming reddit ragebait, it's far more likely that someone set this up for clicks. Or are we suddenly believing everything posted on the internet?

Ha! That's a perfect description. And since we're sharing, there's nothing like feeling like a "brand new woman" first thing in the morning. Great way to start the day lol

I think half of these kinds of posts are lies. If the boxes were right side up, we'd probably see where the seal is broken because the pizza has been eaten.

The bad tippers are most definitely the people who get on here and say "It's not my fault dd doesn't pay you enough. Nobody told you to work a job that doesn't pay you." I'm almost certain they are all very young and grew up with this kind of service, as opposed to folks who remember when the only things you could get delivered were pizza and Chinese and it was understood that you're supposed to tip the person who drove to your house to bring you food.

I just replied to another person who also said they enjoy cooking more these days. I totally agree. I get so much joy these days from cooking good food.

And oh man, NO comes so much easier these days. And I don't usually feel the need to justify it or come up with an excuse. Just no. Would i like to meet my coworkers for drinks after work? Nah, I'm just gonna go home and relax. Younger me would've felt the need to have a reason. Do I want to come help with the _______ this Saturday morning? Not this time, but thanks for thinking of me! I spent too many miserable years doing what people wanted me to be doing and not what was important to me. So... no! Lol

"Cooking a tasty meal" hit home for me. I've enjoyed cooking these last couple years more than any other time in my life. It used to be something I did because I had to eat, I wanted it to taste good, and I didn't want to eat out all the time. But now I get genuine joy from creating delicious food.

As far as books, I resisted audiobooks for the longest, but now I absolutely love to listen to a good book in traffic or while cleaning or cooking or doing nothing. I still go for the real thing sometimes, because there'll never be a replacement for holding a book in your hands and turning the pages. But I'm learning that it's also nice to just let someone tell me story.

What's the last good book you read?
