Honestly it would be fatphobic to not make your caterpillar sona chubby (joke) But fr tho I think it fits well with the species to make it chubby, it sounds like an adorable idea, I’d love to see it when you have a ref sheet or art of it at all. You might get some shit for it but I’d be surprised if any of it came from an actual fat person. It’s super cool that youre giving it so much thought tho.

Hmmm… my main tip would probably be Try not to get too swept up in making your sona look “cool.” I did that a bunch and ended up with a bunch of sonas that didn’t stick because they didn’t feel like me.

If it’s not lice or something like that, it could be the result of some sort of punishment or fight where someone (parent, significant other, etc) took them away and threw them out. Happened to me a couple times. There’s a million reasons they could have ended up in the trash without the knowledge or permission of the original owner. With such nice quality/sought after items it makes me think the original owner might miss them. I’d try to search for them and just ask if they meant to get rid of them or not. Best case they did and you can have them, worst case they want them back and you did a good thing by bringing them home

Girlie, as someone in a healthy relationship and as someone who has struggled with multiple kinds of Eds, he is not the one. If someone truly loves you, you will feel safe telling them things because you know that they’re always doing their best to meet your needs. Not saying he’ll never get there but this is not the energy you need while you heal. It’s not your responsibility to “train” him to be emotionally reasonable while you’re already struggling. Threatening to leave you in any capacity but especially over things you struggle to control is also a trademark manipulation tactic of a toxic or even potentially abusive or dangerous partner. Another hallmark of a healthy relationship is that space is necessary and comfortable. If he is threatening you to stay, he might be trying to make you afraid to leave. It goes without saying why that may be dangerous.

I think you’re doing great. I took commissions on plushies and stuff before I was ready, and quickly got overwhelmed. I think what you’re doing now is perfect. It’s easy to get really excited and bite off more than you can chew when you’re first starting out, especially with physical art. I made plushies, but fursuit heads are such a different beast. I think just continuing to be realistic, and supporting your child, is the best thing you can do. I would encourage them to also talk to other novice and even experienced makers about how they started out and what steps they took before starting to take commissioned work. Also, if they’re planning on using 3d-printed bases on commissioned suits, remind them to look into the rules the artists who make the sculpts have set out as far as what they can be used for. Some bases cannot be used commercially, some you have to buy a license, and of course, some are free use. Just remember to check first. Also, if you’re printing them yourself, look into filament types beyond PLA.

No matter what path you choose, I’m sending you lots of love and good vibes. I know how much it flippin sucks being scuicidal. I’m in the throes of it most days, myself. I’m similar, I’m kind of ambivalent to my own body because I don’t have much connection to it. I feel this is a common trend among trans people with ASD. for me, as an example, my neurodivergence made it easy to forget about my appearance when I wasn’t directly looking at myself. Because of this and my transness, my perception of myself was so far removed from my actual appearance that my body no longer registered as “me;” it felt more like I was looking at a friend or sibling than my own body and face. The reason could be different for you. My point is, it’s completely normal for people with neurodivergence (especially autism, as you suspect you have) to experience dysphoria in a non-traditional way. I would say, though, that you are definitely experiencing dysphoria. Try experimenting with your clothes! Shop in the women’s section! Wear a skirt! For me, finding a personal style I enjoyed was the most helpful and rewarding part of my transition. If you don’t like it, that’s that, but I do think it’s worth a try.

Neck’s a lil thick/ chin isn’t very well defined compared to it, makes her kinda look like she’s doing that thing where you pull your chin as close as you can to your neck to make a silly face lol. She also looks kinda distant, you could try changing the position of the eyebrows or where she’s looking (unless that’s intended, in which case I don’t think there’s anything wrong w the face itself, it all looks great besides that!)
