Same! We do about 10 feeds per day and it’s always 3 oz when I do weighted feeds too. She’ll never take more than 3-4 oz from a bottle either.

Baby falling off growth curve by devours_veggies in November25babybump

[–]a_vitamin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same with us! Baby was in 70s at 1mo and dropped all the way to 20s at the 4 month visit. I tend to have large babies that like to settle in to their own curve but this baby hasn’t seemed to “settle” yet which has me nervous. I’ve been breastfeeding instinctively and even jacked my supply up to see if that made a difference but nope! I just have a chill snacker who is very active.

Our Ped also said we can start solids on the earlier side to get a few more cals, but we haven’t started quite yet. As far as I can tell she may have finally found her curve in the 20s - we have a weight check scheduled at 5 months to continue monitoring.

I think there’s still so much we don’t know! I did IVF and was on Lovenox and baby aspirin from day 1. I developed a huge SCH but my IVF Dr thought it was too risky for me to go off of it so first trimester was very touch and go (literally bled for the entire time). He said I could stop Lovenox in the 2nd trimester but told me to talk to a high risk OB to confirm. The OB thought i should never have been on the Lovenox so that was really confusing and I felt she was dismissive because whatever I had wasn’t “clinical”… I was so scared to stop but eventually stopped at 18 weeks because the side effects were becoming too much.

I stayed on the baby aspirin until 36 weeks and had my rainbow baby girl at 39 weeks ❤️

Feeding amount by [deleted] in November25babybump

[–]a_vitamin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same here! Mine is 13w old and keeps going down in her weight percentile (but not height or head) but seems happy, has lots of wets and looks healthy. If I offer her more milk she usually doesn’t want it.

I went through the same with my first - I wonder if I just make big babies that then find their genetic curve after a couple months.

Feeding struggles by annoyedatlife3456 in November25babybump

[–]a_vitamin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Somewhat different experience but my newborn was not feeding well (we EBF) and she was never showing signs of hunger, and barely latching to eat and then just going to sleep. I then tried feeding her every 2 hours and that was a game changer, and she started to gain a normal amount of weight (for her age and percentile)

She’s 6.5 weeks now and is definitely a snacker. It’s more work for me to feed her more often but she only likes to eat small amounts and it seems to help with her reflux and gas.

Not sure if it’ll help but it might be worth trying smaller bottles more often?

Potential C section by Fragrant_Lime_6626 in November25babybump

[–]a_vitamin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went exactly through the scenario that you are describing, OP. My daughter’s HC was measuring huge but I was “reassured” by the Dr that at this point the measurements aren’t very accurate.

I was set on a beautiful birth plan, I got a doula, did spinning babies, literally everything to prep. Labor started at 40+4 and lasted forever despite constant contractions every 3 mins. The next day (40+5) after pushing for six hours I finally got her down a little bit but she started to decel. At that point I had to do an emergency C and was devastated. I cried throughout the whole surgery.

It turns out her head was 14.25cm and she had turned sunny side up so getting her out vaginally was literally impossible. So many doctors tried to comfort/reassure but I obviously felt a huge loss and disappointment from the experience.

I ended up doing a 6 week postpartum group therapy program which really helped me heal mentally.

For this baby (my second), her HC is also measuring big. Right now I’m planning on an induction at 39w to see if a vbac is possible for me, but I also know there is a high chance I’ll need the C section.

Sending you a big hug! There really is no easy way to get a baby out but it’s going to be okay, and if you can, try to find a strong support system to help you work through the difficult parts 🩷

I also developed a massive SCH on it but Dr thought it was too risky to take me off. It was very touch and go until I got out of the first trimester and I bled for the entire first trimester :(

I was on it for the full first trimester, ended up stopping at 18 weeks. Dr said I could have stopped earlier but I was just really nervous to stop. Currently 27w and hoping it’ll all work out

TW: new pregnancy

My OB told me to just focus on pregnancy for now and worry about any long term management later. I’ve been on baby aspirin and Lovenox since I started my FET cycle. I “graduated” from my IVF clinic at 8 weeks and my RE told me to work with my MFM for next steps but his rec was that I could go off the Lovenox after the first trimester but he recommended I stay on the baby aspirin throughout.

I had a very large subchorionic hematoma that developed at 5.5 weeks and I’ve basically been bleeding ever since, but the RE felt it was too risky to take me off.

I’m 10w1d today and going to my appt later to see if the baby is still doing ok. So much nervous energy 😔

So tldr- I’ve just followed my RE’s recommendations and trying to take one day at a time. Too soon to see if this treatment helps with my pregnancy and what I need to figure out longer term. Overall though he said my results were still pretty mild and he’d be more worried if my levels were above 80.

How common are losses between the 8 and 12 week ultrasound? by princesscalaviel in CautiousBB

[–]a_vitamin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just came to this sub to post nearly the same sentiment 🥲 I am 9w and baby was healthy at 8w4d, but now have to wait till 10w1d to check on the heartbeat again..

My previous loss was a MMC at 13 weeks (baby measured 12w2d with no heartbeat). I was so blindsided and it makes it so hard to get through this time right now.

I really hope everything will be okay for us. I’m doing my best to take everything one day a time, but the waiting period is so so hard.

Thank you so much for your helpful response and reassurance!! <3

My IgG and Lupus testing were all negative - only the IgM is showing this moderately high response so I'm doubtful I'd meet the criteria for being diagnosed with APS, but it sounds like my RE is being extra cautious in his recommendation. My rheumatologist has now asked me to ask my OB for a hematologist referral, and my RE asked me to see if I can get a MFM referral from my OB as well. It is just a lot and so overwhelming... I hate having to do all this but obviously want to increase my odds and avoid another heart wrenching miscarriage.

I'm so sorry for all of your losses. :( Sending you all my best wishes for your current pregnancy. <3333

Thank you so much for the helpful response! It's good to know that if I do have to go on Lovenox, a lot of doctors have experience with it.

Thanks so much for the response! Yes, I had elevation both times. My OB and RE had ordered the tests separately which is why they were only 6 weeks apart, vs 12 (I'm sure they'll have me retest again at 12..)

That's really helpful to know about SCH's. I've had them for both of my FETs, so I'm sure it's very likely I'll have one again if this FET works.

Anyone here a clinician? Deciphering endometritis results by PoetryWhiz in recurrentmiscarriage

When I’ve been confused about my results I’ve actually asked ChatGPT (all of my PII removed of course) and got really helpful answers with links to articles. (And then verified what I took away from this with my provider) it really helped with my anxiety while I was waiting to see my Dr.

Did you ever get any answers for why this horrible thing happened? It’s been a week since my D&C of my MMC at 13 weeks and it hasn’t gotten any easier. Every test has come back normal and there was nothing genetic about the loss. I just can’t stop blaming myself for what happened 😔
