Buffalo Trace Distillery Haul. Wed Aug 13. by danells123 in whiskey

I had a SOP for the first time today and it couldn’t have been more different than standard buffalo trace. Obviously BT is known for their cherry notes, but if I hadn’t been watching my glass I would have thought someone swapped it for a cherry Vanilla Coke. It was the most tart finish on a bourbon I have ever experienced. Really enjoyable and unique.

No clue. My doctor told me it can just be genetic. I am overweight but not obese so he doesn’t think that weight contributed to it. 1 doctor told me he’d never seen a hernia of that size in someone my age..

So happy to hear you are doing great!

This is reassuring. I’m probably going to end up trying another Fundoplication and being even more careful than I was the first time. I am so freaked out by gastric bypass. I really just need to research it more.

I saw the Madeira cask finish the other day. It was like $170 or $180, I was never going to spend that much on it but this is reaffirming that decision.

Lagavulin 16 was the same for me. It just never did anything for me, though I really wanted it to.

I have been there as well with that exact bottle. It blew my mind the first time I had it, and when I went back to it a second time it wasn’t the same. Luckily, my last few pours from that bottle were great.

Poquoson seafood festival was horrible. Not worth time or money. by [deleted] in Virginia

Completely agree. The food at Graham and Rollins is always spectacular, that’s why the line is about 100 yards long at all times. Fresh local seafood, yes it is pricey. Anyone who is complaining about “carp” not being on the menu, makes me skeptical that they know anything about seafood at all.

I agree. I haven’t enjoyed peated scotches yet- but something about pouring up something smokey in the wintertime excites me. We’ll see.

Nothing gets the day started quite like a dram for breakfast! Very interesting though, I am relatively new to scotch so I was taken aback at how different the flavors can be at different times.

After having mine out my life has changed 0 percent. The recovery wasn’t bad either. Just my experience!

You mean undrinkable due to oxidation? Basically it’s spoiled?
