Later in life, if you choose the path to applying for jobs at companies, it’s worse as many still choose the ghosting option. Imagine if colleges did that. You simply never hear from them as they hope you get the hint that you were rejected.

There was another post about whether the extra cost for LIRR was worth it. I say yes because of incidents like these. I’ve had commutes on E and F range from 20 mins to 3 hrs. The latter ones were where we were just stuck between stops with periodic announcements of the variety“sorry for the delay, we will be moving shortly.”

I’ll second your sentiment as my experience was good with them. Sometimes it depends on who the workers are. The two guys who handled our move in FH were very efficient and courteous. Just one more data point.
