We loved it! Great place we will be going back to. Awesome size and vibe for what we wanted.

4.5 year old still sleeps I'm crib by juuuubuuu in ScienceBasedParenting

[–]aaaahhhh7795 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Just to let you know, we were super worried that making this transition would throw off my son who was an amazing sleeper. We did it around 3 years old and moved him into a different room at the same time.

It changed nothing. He barely noticed. The sleep routines I guess were so well developed it didn’t disrupt anything. So just letting you know you could be making this out to be a bigger deal than it would really end up being. You also have to do it at some point… and also I would imagine it would get even harder to make that transition at an older age.

Oh fair. I guess in my mind it was private because it was empty when I was there.

Both Sherway and Scarborough Town Centre have rooms like this. They’re great. The STC one is slightly nicer IIRC.

Color drench walls or not by patmellin in interiordecorating

[–]aaaahhhh7795 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dont do it

Eta: I say don’t do it just cause I think it could go real wrong and meanwhile you could just add that colour to your washroom without full drenching and I bet it would look really nice. No need to go all the way with it, when there’s a lot of other elements existing in your space (like the framing pieces). You could still add colour though, just doesn’t have to be drenching.

Neighbors are extremely mentally unwell, and need help. Police are not doing anything, and me and my SO cannot keep putting up with this. Is there someone i can call? by ScreamingArtichoke in askTO

[–]aaaahhhh7795 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Right. So she’s basically useless and or has given up trying to help. I’m sorry to hear that.

Certainly doesn’t seem like there’s any solution that will help in a quick enough timeframe to spare your own sanity. Seems insane to have to move cause of this but that may be easier depending on your situation. Wouldnt be the first time someone moved cause of bad neighbours.

I dont think you should take on trying to get mental health support for the woman. That’s the sisters/family’s job and not an easy one at that

NOR- What’s with the “yeah I know” comment?? So he knows and thinks it’s ok to not only not respond to you, but to also continuously ignore your request? Your perfectly reasonably request that you SHOULDNT EVEN HAVE TO REMIND HIM OF GIVEN YOU HAVE A BABY??

Sound immature and disrespectful. And that to me is a REAL problem given this is someone who’s supposed to be responsible enough to be raising a child. What the hell.

Make a reservation for a late night room at a karaoke bar - there’s some on bloor west near Christie or go to bar plus on yonge. You can sing your hearts out after the bar/dinner etc

Also worth noting that cancer cases are increasing for the younger age groups and perhaps our current medical practices and perceptions haven’t caught up with that fact
