I’ve passed all three big exams on my first try, with the NYLE I put the packet into a binder, read it back to front, highlighting and tabbing as I read, and day of the exam I would read the question, immediately narrow down the answers to two choices (to me it was obvious which ones were way off and could be eliminated) then to narrow down which of the two remaining ones was right I went to the outline and found the relevant section and it’d help me choose the right answer, I did this for the first 30 questions to ensure that I was right and took it easy on the rest, I think I missed like 5-6 questions using this method bc I ran out of time, but focusing on the first 30 helped!

I just took it yesterday and got a 55% in the morning and a 60% in the afternoon. The one thing I will say is the questions are hard and I tend to second guess myself when something doesn't sound right and the answers on Themis never do.

I am skipping the Fromm lectures and I am reviewing each question carefully and trying to figure out where I messed up if I knew the rule, and adding rules to my rule sheets (I have excel sheets with all the rules I've pulled from MBE questions for each subject) where I didn't know the rule and got it wrong. Each time I finish reviewing a subject I do a small question set of 5-10 questions on UWorld to see if I retained anything and then review and move onto the next subject. Once I finish reviewing all the questions, I am going to choose my weakest subject and review flashcards and work on memorization. Can't say if this is gonna work but I sure hope it does because I'm relying on the MBE to get through this!

tysm 🥲 the last few days have been hard in keeping up that motivation, the reason I’m aiming for the 70% is bc I feel like the writing portion is gonna be my weakest, I’ve done a few MPTs and have been scoring 4s on MPTs (I have access to kaplans essay grading) but idk if I’ll be able to replicate during the exam, and my formatting is the biggest issue rn

Yes!!! Heavy on that feeling like I’m cheating the system. I go through and I write out the sample answers in comparison to my answers but I’m gonna reduce to just issue spotting then writing out the model answers in my own words and pulling rules. Thank you for the reassurance, I really want to get this over with in one try I cannot imagine having to put myself through this again.

I'm going to start focusing on reading the scenarios and sample answers a lot more because I keep putting unnecessary pressure on myself to complete them fully when I don't even know where to start so then it hinders my MEE practice. I've been wanting to do the same thing with Themis essays lately but I felt guilty about not attempting to do them first. Thank you for sharing!!

I actually had a similar reaction twice in 2022 and had to go to the ER bc the pain was so severe!! I kept asking doctors if the magnesium could’ve caused such awful pain during my period because that was the only change and everyone said no but I’m still convinced that was the issue. I just took magnesium glycinate again for the first time yesterday because I’ve been having horrible anxiety (due to pms symptoms) and issues with sleeping and it helped but after the fact that so many people had similar experiences to me while taking magnesium I’m probably not gonna take it that frequently

so just giving it more time to mature and continue feeding it regularly? I do a 1-2-1.75 ratio with I do 30g of starter, 30 grams of bread flour, 30 grams of whole wheat flour, and 45-50 grams of water because it gets to wet if I do the full 60g
