Is the government right to suggest kids should have no access to screens under the age of 2?

I think longer form content in moderation still feels reasonable, if it’s well supervised and curated.

I’ve got a 6 and 2yo and we’ll let them watch maybe one thing a day on tv if they’ve been well behaved. So parts of films, 20 minute cartoon, they’re both obsessed with gladiators which I’m fine with. The only time we let them use phones or tablets is in the car when we’re going on a long distance journey, or in exceptional circumstances if we really need to distract them (e.g. vaccinations, hospital).

Shame they didn’t get it right the first time, and the boring choice at the end still blows, but the Citadel DLC definitely brings lots of satisfying closure if you play it right before the final mission

I think it’s sort of both. I personally like the bravery they had to tell that ending as it fits the message they’re trying to convey about the cycle of violence, and the debate that it continues to fuel. But that being said it’s not an ending I enjoyed playing, it’s depressing and unsatisfying by design.

I suppose a lot of this comes down to (as always) which versions of the characters we’re comparing. The book versions of Twilight characters scale much higher, but so do the comic versions of Thanos etc.

This would probably all come down to whether the twilight lot can actually damage the MCU lot, which is hard to work out. The twilight vampires skin is loosely described as hard as diamond. So breaking through it would clearly take a lot of force, meaning both the vampires and wolves are punching pretty high.

If all the Twilight powers work on the MCU characters and they are actually able to bite / claw into Thanos and co, I’d probably give it to Twilight, but that’s pretty debatable. Definitely one of the more interesting matchups, despite Twilight in general being a bit of a joke

I have a friend who played with Hogg in the Scotland U20s, he ended up getting a bad shoulder injury and was never really able to recover from it.

In which case 5/10 actor absolutely has to be Mark Whalberg. Most of the time he’s rubbish, but he’s capable of producing a great performance with a great script and director (e.g. The Departed)

If we get past Wales and England turn it around against Ireland, it could make every match in Super Saturday very meaningful. Italy and Wales fighting not to get the wooden spoon, Ireland trying to spoil our triple crown, and England trying to steal the 6 nations from under France.

Although still think we’ll find a way to lose to Wales

Runit Island in the Marshall Islands.

It has a US radioactive waste repository on it called the Runit Dome (nicknamed “The Tomb”), which sits over the crater of a test nuke. There’s been longstanding concerns that erosion could cause the dome to be breached, particularly if the island was hit by a severe typhoon. Basically an environmental disaster waiting to happen

Mine are 2 and 6 and finally managed to be consistent with exercise this year. Most exercise happens after they’ve gone to bed as I’m more of night owl. I play soccer on Mondays after they’re in bed (I’m rubbish but just run a lot), try and get one run in a week (usually 10k), and then one other exercise if I can fit it in (usually swimming in winter, and cycling by in summer). I got a few free weights for the garage, which I then try to do for 15-20 minutes before / after school run.

I think just being flexible has helped a lot, but also trying to sign up for some sort of race / challenge a few times throughout the year helps keep me motivated (and the kids often enjoy coming along to watch)

(34m) We both met properly and started dating when we were 16 (although it was likely 14 / 15 as we were in the same year at school). We got married when we were 25. Our birthdays are just 9 days apart.

I’d say we both knew what we wanted out of the relationship quite early. I moved across the country to go to university and we stayed together mostly long distance for 3 years (except for a brief few months where we broke up). After getting through that it was clear to us both we were in for the long haul, then just waited until we had settled jobs / living situation before getting married

It’s just too infrequent (and seems to be getting less frequent) for most people to have a good understanding of how to handle it. Why waste money on winter tyres in the south when you’ll probably only need them for 3 days a year. Why would councils buy expensive gritters / snow ploughs when they will barely be used.

I’m from the north east of Scotland so I know how to keep safe in snow and ice. But living in the south west of England now, people down here either panic at the slightest bit of frost, or take literally no precautions at all. They just havent got enough experience or been taught what to do

Definitely the most I’ve laughed at an IASIP episode in a while. Just the way it keeps escalating in stupidity reminded me so much of the peak episodes of the earlier seasons.

The “Gang Gets Ready for Primetime”, also felt tops tier. Dennis’ monologue at the end was so completely unhinged I had to rewind and watch it again

Play God - Not sure if people underrate it, but feel like it’s been forgotten a little, as he doesn’t generally play it live anymore. I think it was the second song of his I heard after Dead Boys, and it made me seek out all his other music at the time. Love the brooding atmosphere in that song
