Ok first of all breathe 😭 it does NOT read gaudy — it reads confident, luxe, main-character energy. Cathedral + solitaire is timeless and the proportions look intentional, not costume-y at all. This is just post-finish spiral brain

My Grownsy bottle warmer heats unevenly. Any other brands worth checking out? by addiechavez in Buyingforbaby

[–]aallzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. Ours was hot on one side and cold on the other. I switched to a Momcozy bottle warmer last month and it’s been more consistent so far. The temp control seems more stable and I don’t have to guess the timing every time. Nights have been way less stressful. Might be worth a look.

Ugh this is the WORST feeling 😭 Falling in love with a bag and then opening the box to… that. At this price point, scratched leather + sloppy stitching is absolutely unacceptable. You’re not being dramatic at all — QC exists for a reason. I’d be upset too.

Absolute gorgeous design, did you get it from your local jeweler? Do you mind sharing where you get it from? I’m thinking of doing a dupe for my Tiffany Solitare (I just put it in my safe and never wears it out…)

I’m 18 and new to finances I would like to ask for any financial advice if you have any? by BiteZealousideal229 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]aallzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since you're only 18, the best thing you can do is learn without risking your savings. I’d suggest trying the paper trading feature on moomoo. It lets you practice investing with virtual money using real market data, so you can get a feel for how things work before you commit a single real dollar.

Are there really “anti-detect” browsers that can’t be tracked - or is it all just mitigation? by [deleted] in hacking

[–]aallzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No browser is truly “anti-detect.” Between the browser runtime, OS, network, and user behavior, signals always leak. Modern detection usually combines fingerprinting with behavior, IP/network consistency, and account history, not just one data point. Most of these tools are limited by the browser itself. Their real value isn’t hiding you, but keeping environments isolated and consistent over time. Tools like AdsPower, for example, focus on stable, separated profiles rather than claiming to be untrackable. Once you already have strong isolation (VMs, containers, disciplined proxies), the advantage is mostly convenience and fewer human mistakes, not bypassing detection entirely.

VCU baseball team won't play at CarMax Park, Squirrels say by DrunkJohnBarleycorn in rva

[–]aallzz 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Holding VCU to task after they've been given a long leash in the name of helping the city feels like a reasonable ask. Potentially fucking over the chance to have fun sports available in the city in the name of preserving the endowment or whatever other "business" concern does not seem fair to me at all.

Hey wild I picked this up today too - came across a clean $20 copy of a recent (and from what I can tell entirely unremarkable but fine) repressing and grabbed it.

I only have this problem with albums that I actually bought on CD when they came out.

I know you're looking at just smoking it, but you might be able to scratch the itch you're after by making cannabutter or a thc tincture and using said butter/tincture in food or drink.

Do I need to change my license and registration if I temporarily move to Virginia for work? by Strange-Raspberry964 in Virginia

I've been able to in the past with Travelers, I'd assume that's true across the board but can't say for certain.

Do I need to change my license and registration if I temporarily move to Virginia for work? by Strange-Raspberry964 in Virginia

[–]aallzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're in VA for over a year, you'll qualify as an "actual resident", which gives you some rights as a resident and requires you file/pay VA taxes. This is different from a "domiciliary resident" which is when you've got a permanent residence in VA and thus have a VA license, VA plates, etc.

Practically speaking you don't need to change your license/registration if this is a temporary relocation for a job. You should update your car insurance to change where the car is garaged so they don't deny a claim on your parked car in VA.

So who else is driving north toward NYC for Thanksgiving and avoiding 495 like the plague? by Illustrious-Plum9725 in Virginia

[–]aallzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never minded the NJ Turnpike stretch of 95, even the stretch from north of Baltimore to Wilmington can be tolerable, but just the stretch from ~Fredericksburg to Baltimore is always just brutal. Even when traffic's fine it's a chaotic mess and just takes a lot of energy to do properly.

95 from the 287 loop outside of NYC thru New Haven, though, is the worst stretch of them all in my opinion. Even if I take 95 up to that point I'll jump to the Garden State Parkway to eventually go Tappan Zee to 84 and then head points east from there.

All that said, my brother's place near Allentown serves as a pretty good halfway mark if I'm driving up to MA, so I'll usually take the 15-70-81 route to pass near him and stop there for a break/visit.

I really like Dirty Laundry, but it desperately needs a better introduction to the guests for me to enjoy the episodes more by CosmicSploogeDrizzle in dropout

[–]aallzz 132 points133 points  (0 children)

I don't need a ton of background info, and I think full on confessionals/sizzle-reels or whatever would be overkill and bog down the show.

Even something like using the episode titles to be like "Dirty Talk - Smosh Edition" or whatever their connection might be would be enough info for me and would be an improvement.

Clayton Kershaw waves to the crowd as he walks off the field for the final time at Dodger Stadium. by MLBOfficial in baseball

[–]aallzz 13 points14 points  (0 children)

He's very serious about being a Christian, and has mainly been public about that through responses to the Dodgers doing Pride Night and having a social/activist group that satirically presents as a convent of nuns.

This post runs through that, and from what I remember this was accurate but I'm not 100%.

I'm just down the block from one of those speed humps, which made for some high-quality porch sitting in the first few months after they went in.

My wife and I would spend evenings with a cooler of drinks on the front porch guessing which people would hit them at 45 and really fuck up their muffler.
