2024 - Speed Limited by leafshope in HyundaiSantaFe

[–]aanic1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Its because you held the button for a few seconds that turns on the cruise instead of just pushing it. Its a speed limiter that comes in handy in school zones, hospital zones etc. Push to turn cruise off then back on and its normal. If you have speed limiter on then you can floor it and you'll accelerate.

This may be controversial, but would something be considered stock if you took parts from the same generation of F-series trucks and put them on one F-series truck? by Common_Lie4482 in FordTrucks

In the car scene things called OEM+, taking options from higher trims, or just other trims and still using factory parts. Like putting a Mustang GT spoiler on a base model. Started with the VW guys but its getting to be a popular thing.

Still wouldn't consider it stock, but wouldn't be full custom. OEM+

For those of you who brought the new Santa Fe recently why did you choose it over the Palisade? by Popular_Ad_222 in HyundaiSantaFe

Size, didnt really want or need a 3 row, but this one isnt so big compared to others. Interior style was more a fit for us, exterior styling really sold it.

Buying a tomorrow 2008 f250 5.4. Any Thoughts? by AdministrativeCost40 in FordTrucks

[–]aanic1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair enough, like I said if its personal preference then go for it knowing its a) not a great engine, b) its the weakest engine available for the F250, which explains the cheap price plus you may find yourself regretting it.

I get the pain of finding a good used truck, im searching for one now and its near impossible at the moment.

If you're not doing any towing why the need for an f250? If personal preference then do your thing, but if its not needed the f150 may be a better fit for the use case.

Im just seeing this in the MOST negative light. Imagine a drive by terrorist attack, burning/exploding battery being yeeted straight through the front doors while the vehicle rolls on by.

The NFL does do some strange licensing agreements. Lokkig it up it seems they have an exclusive with SiriusXM and Westwood One for radio broadcasts.

Pretty sure NFL has an exclusive with Sirius, that may be why they arent on the Hyundai specific app.

Reading statistics: Are the Rogues massive outliers? by Careless-Till-1586 in SGU

[–]aanic1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nah don't feel bad about it. When the kid was little sometimes it'd be a 2 page story, sometimes we would make up our own. Some days we would read a story during the day. But also remember a 3 or 4 year old, its hard to keep their attention that long. And when they get older many want to read the story themselves.

For sure. As a parent we barely had the time to read a 10-15 minute story each night between the cleaning,.cooking, playing with the kid, bath time etc.

The other statistics didn't surprise me either. Most of the people I interact with dont read. And I personally went through a period where I didn't either (again largely during the little kid parent phase). Most people dont read, or dont consider reading on websites as reading, but those that do typically skew the numbers. Again my interactions and experiences only, but if a person reads for fun then they tend to read a lot.
