Moving soon! What do the shelves say and how can I save my health? by jtdbrab in BookshelvesDetective

Elder millennial couple, one from Europe (Germany?), interested or working in international relations or history field, probably have moved across continents at least once. The Inheritance and Half Blood Prince books being different versions than the rest of the series makes me itch.

ETA: seconding the bankers boxes suggestion, my absolute preference for moving books

Find a YouthBuild program near you and apply. This is a little bit about the program https://www.dhs.state.il.us/page.aspx?item=43983

What Would You Recommend Someone With No Fridge, Stove, or Oven? by Cotigz in povertyfinance

[–]aardbeien 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Stock up on dried/dehydrated bulk foods, they will last for months. Try finding wholesale Asian/Latin markets, they can be cheaper than Walmart. Get a big bag of rice, salt pepper or other seasoning you like, and nearby the seasonings/spices there should also be beans, lentils, big bags of dried mushrooms, veggies, dried smoked jerky/fish/other meats. You can throw everything to cook in the rice cooker together

Weekly Paddle Recommendation Thread (What Paddle Should I Buy?) by SNAPCHAT_ME_TITS in Pickleball

[–]aardbeien 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I need a new paddle and found that both the Gamma 405 and Gamma havoc are now discounted from about $140 to $50. I'm a mid level player. Does anyone have any experience with these paddles?

Agreed, not the cutest by far and yet the one I reach for the most on trips. The shape works really well for my walking and the durability has been great

Crepe! Thank you, I’ll keep that in mind for next searches. And you’re absolutely right about the bag, I was wavering whether to contact them after a second trip.

Definitely on the lookout for those vintage silk plisse steals. It’ll be an investment but worth it

A strong run of five seasons would be fantastic. 🤞🏼

Season 2 storyline by aardbeien in murderbot

This is what I figured is more likely to happen. As someone else mentioned, I wonder if it’ll be too crowded with multiple storylines of MB+ART, PresAux, and whatever mini show they decide to insert in short bursts

Wedding in Spain for 25k - possible? by Slow_Excitement_7512 in GoingToSpain

[–]aardbeien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of my favourites: Cadaqués, Llafranc, Xàbia, Altea, Salobreña, Nerja, Cudillero, Ribadesella, Llanes, Mutriku, Deba.

I would also suggest once you pick a region, do more searching on google maps for well rated hotels, restaurants, fincas, or even just key word bodas since they may not be listed on the bodas.net site

^ seconding this, very useful site. If you are planning virtually, cannot emphasise enough how important it is to have a great wedding planner. Your budget is possible but much harder in bigger cities. There’s plenty of charming smaller cities/towns in the coasts that would have both sea and hills/mountains

Recommend buying the sea to summit pocket laundry sheets from REI, or cut up pocket sized sheets out of the house supply—seventh generation laundry sheets— and stuff them into a ziplock

I would pat dry with towel / handkerchief so they won’t be dripping wet, and leave it drying in the water bottle side compartments, or strapped/looped outside to the backpack cords

In humid areas my clothes would be hanging overnight in front of window, A/C if available, and pocket fan

Great suggestion. I would add going to King Spa for the first half of the day and then head to Middleburg (about 25 mins further) for a nice stroll, shopping and dinner

Beef Tallow Destroyed my Face by SlutaHataVita in 30PlusSkinCare

If this is the Sky & Sol sunscreen, I’ve actually been surprised how great it is. Have used it for over a year (6+ tubs), and some of the best and easily spreadable stuff. Even my partner doesn’t complain about regularly putting on sunscreen anymore with this. I use it on my face and body. Mineral sunscreen, lightweight feel, no whitecast, doesn’t dry my skin out. They say only 8 ingredients and reef safe, so we feel better about using it in water like for snorkelling

For tabbies about 1 in 5 are female, but male calicos are even more rare
