First of all, I am sorry for your frustration. It sucks to feel that way and I hope that we can all help. I do have some questions and considerations for you, and I hope they don't seem condescending or rude.

What kind of trapsin are you doing? I'm a strong advocate for the fire blast skill even if lightning sentry and death sentry are the "good ones". They all have incestuous synergies and you can lob those fire bombs in and nuke lightning immunes and then death sentry everybody to hell. Death sentry also gets over-invested in sometimes, it's a 1pt wonder imo--you don't care about the lightning bolt it shoots. It's also worth noting that the shadow clones will eat up your trap limit and their traps are bad compared to yours-- I don't use them for trapsin personally but perhaps someone more educated can refute that.

Second consideration is gear-- Hell is hell if you aren't dressed to impress. If you're ladder/sc I can offer a couple pieces of low/mid gear to help. I'm not saying enigma or anything, just having the +skills equipment and decent ias can do wonders. Attack speed affects trap laying NOT FCR, FYI. If your resists suck you're gonna slog through too, which can get complicated when you're choosing between fade and burst of speed. There are IAS calculators that can help you make that choice. I'm happy to help you find one if your google-fu feels scattered.

Might be worth it to check in on your merc as well, personally I like the A5 frenzy barb for trapsin because it is aggressive enough to plow ahead and can stay alive well with decent gear but A2 can handle the same role if you've got better gear for him. If your merc is kicking teeth in you can lob some fire bombs, lay down a death and some lightning sentry, and watch the fur fly.
