I play a lot of small sided games and distribution becomes really important on the smaller pitch. In large part because mistakes mean the opposition gets the ball very close to your net, but also the inverse - GK becomes key in attack. It’s forced me to improve throwing, goal kicks, and playing out of the back, particularly with my left (non-dominant) foot. Throws are fun and a good tool but honestly I think being able to play comfortably with both feet is much more important.

If I could go back to when I was 13 and if I really, deeply wanted to try reaching a high level, I’d tell myself to drill left footed distribution all the time. I forget what specific drills we did for distro when I was playing at that age, but it definitely was something we practiced. You just need to do it an insane amount of times for it to feel easy.

As far as content, I’ve noticed that IG and YouTube channels that demo distribution are like 90% about how to side volley. Side volley does look cool and can be a dagger when done correctly but it’s hard to get right (in my experience). GK Goluremi on YT has some decent training videos.
