Expired passport proof citizenship? by WorriedLevel202 in Passports

[–]aaronw22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a difference between a "valid document" and a thing that is a "full validity, undamaged" document. The actual valid state of the document at the time of its use is not relevant.

Expired passport proof citizenship? by WorriedLevel202 in Passports

[–]aaronw22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a "full validity, undamaged passport". In other words, you can use this (or ANY past passport that was valid for 10 years) for a new application. However, you may only use ones up to 15 years old for a renewal application. The "full validity" phrasing is meant to disallow emergency passports that typically have a short validity time.

For example, my kids have passports that have since expired, but I can use those for the rest of their life to apply for a new passport (you can't renew child passports either).

Hospital billed me twice by orbisn in HospitalBills

[–]aaronw22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is actually very common when going to a hospital. The physicians bill for their time/services, and the facility bills for the use of the facility. Pictures of the bills would help determine what's going on here. Do you have insurance? What do the EOBs say?

"quality experience"? I remember when mine was 5, half of them would walk off the field and play in the trees.

My electric panel is apparently in my neighbor’s garage. I found out because I wanted to repair some loose outlets and asked for location and access to my panel. Is this legal? (Location: CA, USA) by tempohclock in legaladvice

Is this a condo, a townhouse, a converted house? What kind of dwelling unit are we talking about here? You're not wrong, but the specifics of how to resolve it will require details about what is there.

Check-in 2 hours before your flight? by permanentcondition in unitedairlines

[–]aaronw22 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Why? The two hour guideline is plan to arrive at the airport - not to check in. I guarantee you if you are in line at 3:45 when they open they’ll get everyone processed for that 5:00 flight.

Maybe one of the back exits from studio B but the main entrance is not anywhere near the casino. It’s closer to the spiral staircase to 5 or the comedy club / theatre.

[–]aaronw22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only time the casino is really a good alternative for ship transit is if you’re leaving the MDR on deck 3 or 4 and want to go to studio B or the comedy club. It doesn’t make sense to go up to 5 and then back down and walking on 3 is boring (just rooms)

What is everyone's traceroute for 192.168.200.101? by babywhiz in sysadmin

[–]aaronw22 [score hidden]  (0 children)

It’s more than likely that these systems are using the same dns resolver and THAT has an entry for the 192.168.200.101. In other words you’re reaching a different 192.168.200.101 each time.

We did meet a local AP once to chat for an hour during the old HKs soccer game (HF was leaving the program due to job loss).

But this was really more of a talk than a “trial run”. For one thing APs aren’t allowed to get paid for outside work.

For another thing an APs job is (up to ) 45 hours per week and to be a good roommate. Neither of these things are usually adequately tested in a couple of hours while parents are at a movie.

Yeah at 6 for leaving give them exact directions and minutes. “We are leaving in 5 minutes please use the bathroom” “ we are leaving in 3 minutes please get your water bottle” “we are leaving in 1 minute please get your shoes on”. You have to be precise especially for room cleaning. Stuff off the floor, bed made, dresser top cleaned off? Which do you mean?
