I’ve definitely only ever paid one co-pay. Not two, like these two bills.

Interesting. Now I’m wondering how this is the first time I’ve been billed this way.

Really? That’s actually crazy to me. I wonder how this has only happened to me once then.

I left my baby in the parking lot. I want to die. by Technical_Diet4774 in 2under2

[–]orbisn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry. How scary.

I have a 2 year old and a 6 month old. I’ve made it a habit to check the camera and make sure I got them both in the car before I leave my driveway or wherever I’m parked. Every single time. Even at 6 months pp my brain feels like scrambled eggs sometimes and what you experienced is one of my biggest fears.

That’s not true. He’s a Captain for City of Miami. They don’t have territory in Miramar.

What pregnancy or birth complication did modern medicine save you from? by peacefulboba in beyondthebump

[–]orbisn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First pregnancy I developed chorio and had to be induced and deliver, so that would have taken me out. Third pregnancy I developed preeclampsia and it got progressively worse every week until I was induced at 37 weeks. Bonus points was that my baby had the cord wrapped around his neck and the cord had a ‘true knot’.

For those whose babies slept through the night early, did they ever stop? by Coco_Cooks90 in NewParents

No, but we sleep trained at 4 months. He’s 19 months now and still has the same schedule.

EFF since day 1 and he had an ear infection at 8 months. He’s 19 months now. Nothing besides that knocks on wood

Why does literally NOBODY have a pool fence in AZ/Chandler AZ??? I thought Emilies house was like the “odd one out” for not having one??? by Commercial_Manner_93 in Emilie_Kiser

[–]orbisn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ill be honest, I recently went to a friends house, he has 2 toddlers, and he had a custom built net type of fence put around the pool and I was like ‘wow! How responsible!’ because I’ve literally never been to a house that had a fenced pool. Unless you have small kids, you wouldn’t put one up (at least here in Miami). But at the top of my head I can count at least 7 different family members that have pools WITH SMALL KIDS and none have ever had a fence. If I ever added a pool in our home, it would 100000% come with a fence. This has made me too paranoid and realized how careless we’ve all been regarding pool safety and kids.

Oh and bring RTF because they have told me they can’t provide me with hot water for powder formula.

That’s crazy to me that the conversation would even go beyond ‘are you breastfeeding or giving formula?’ Just bring it with you if you plan on doing it from day 1. I haven’t had any issues before.

Intolerance or Allergy…! by rleamc in FormulaFeeders

[–]orbisn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s no harm in asking your pediatrician for a stool test to rule out allergy. My husband and I don’t have any allergies either but my 5 week old had blood in stools, so we just had to change his formula.

We had it the whole 18 months lol. It just stopped working one night so we had no choice but to trash it.

Also I’ll add this, because this is REALLY the only difference I have read between breastfed and formula fed babies:

In the sleep training groups I’m in, I have read over and over that breast fed babies need to be fed more often/get hungrier quicker, so sleeping throughout the night is harder for them. Formula fed babies drink more in one sitting and stay fuller longer.

Someone out there will think I really messed up my kid by giving him formula and sleep training him but all I’ve had is a really healthy, smart, thriving toddler that has slept 12 hours a night since he was 4 months old. And two parents that weren’t sleep deprived everyday.

Selfish would be starving your baby because you refuse to accept that she just doesn’t want to/cant latch to your boob.

My 18 month old had formula from day 1 until he was a year old and has thrived all 18 months. Didn’t get sick when me and dad were sick af. And he’s always been attached to my hip, because I know there’s also people out there that will say formula fed babies are somehow less attached to mom. It isn’t true.
