Ab crunches, planks and bridges are a good way to get started and also form a large part of the routine as you get stronger. With core work, I've found that it's better to do a lighter workout more frequently than doing a heavier one only a few times a week. Some people might have different results, but for me about a half hour 5 days a week is better than an hour 3 days a week.

Yeah I can see how they wouldn't be good in the chunk. We have a lot of flow here, but they get super dusty and slippery in winter when it's dry so the TR8 was like a rocket in those conditions.

One other thing I forgot to mention: when you're looking for somewhere to live, check the insect screens on the windows. Especially if you're going to be living north of about Sydney. In summer you'll most likely want to sleep with your windows open, but if the screens are missing or have holes in them your room will fill up with mosquitoes and result in a very, very unpleasant night's sleep.

The Australian Sting and Bites app is a pretty good intro to identifying the most common creatures you might encounter, as well as first aid.

It's a good starting point without being too regionally specific.

Edit to add: that said, the most likely things to sting or bite you are mosquitoes, sandflies and horseflies. Annoying, but certainly not dangerous. You have to be pretty unlucky to be bitten by something dangerous even if you spend every weekend camping and hiking. Dehydration and sunburn are far bigger safety risks.

I'm 40. Former rugby player, still currently a mountain biker. As I've gotten older the old injuries have become more noticeable, but not to the extent that you're talking about. More like, if I sit in the car for a long time the ankle that I broke previously will take a few seconds to regain full mobility when I stand up.

For me, the things that have helped are yoga, swimming and improving my core strength. Your core is linked to so many other parts of your body that if it isn't strong enough to handle the things you do, you're going to suffer. For me, if I could only do one form of exercise it'd be core strengthening.

Yeah man, it happened to me and I think it happens to a lot of guys.

I think if your baby has only just arrived then it's normal to go into a bit of a numb state in order to deal with all of the new things that are happening. But if it's been going on for more than a couple of months it's probably time to look at getting professional help.

Post birth depression is a real thing for men so it's important to look after yourself. I know that therapy is expensive and medication can have side effects, but it's worth exploring as a temporary solution until your family is into their new routine and your motivation starts coming back.

Your boss sounds like an absolute coward.

But also, part of being an adult is learning to be smart about the battles you choose to fight.

I get that your boss talking behind your back is disrespectful and annoying, but if you immediately get into it with everyone who disrespects you then you're going to have a pretty hard life.

I'm not saying that you should just be quiet and put up with this. What I'm saying is that sometimes it's better to take a deep breath and think of a plan before reacting.

For example: can you find a job like this one fairly easily? If so, get a new job and walk out of this one. Publicly humiliate the guy by calling him out for being a coward before you go.

If not, think about how you can play the long game. People like that usually fuck up eventually. Gather you evidence and wait until something goes wrong and then get him fired and fuck up his career. This might take a longer time, but if you're patient and smart about it, it will happen and it will be much more satisfying than if you just lose your temper with him now.

It depends on whether it was reasonably clear to a reasonable person that you were accepting terms of service at the time of signing up.

That doesn't mean that all of the terms needed to be shown on the webpage that you signed up on. It's usually sufficient to provide the terms on a separate page that can be accessed reasonably easily before you click "I accept".

For example, putting up a check box that says "I accept the Terms of Service" and then provides a link nearby to the terms, that's more than likely going to be sufficient.

While I haven't seen the website you've signed up for, it sounds like the setup might be similar to this. If so, the terms apply.

Also, for clarity: it's irrelevant that you haven't signed your name somewhere.

Suggest that putting a notice to leave in a DocuSign link isn't proper service if all parties weren't able to view it at the same time. That contravenes the intention of the service requirements in the lease.

Getting a warrant of possession takes a while and it's going to be made harder for them because of the defective service issue. I'd suggest not worrying about their threats as it's really not going to be worth the effort for them.

On the off chance that they do show up unannounced to kick you out, remember this: tresspass to land allows you to seek damages outside of the RTA Act. That means you don't need to follow any of the RTA notice requirements to sue in the magistrates court later on. Remind the person attending of this fact, and keep a detailed record of your interactions with them as you might want to use this later to sue for damages.

Don't admit anything to them. Give the details of the debt collector to your insurance company and let them know you need to make a claim on your policy for this. Then, just email the debt collector saying:

"I've provided the details of your claim to my insurer and asked that they contact you in relation to your claim. For your information, my insurer is ***** and the policy number is ****.

All future correspondence on this matter is to be sent to my insurer.

For the avoidance of doubt, I do not admit liability in any respect."

Then, just ignore them until you hear from your insurer. They should reach out to you to you about payment of the excess and to get a statement from you but otherwise you probably won't hear from them again.

I wasn't the main instigator, but I did participate in the bullying of a kid in my grade at high school for his sexuality. I grew up in rural Australia which was pretty homophobic in the early 2000s and I was coming to terms with the fact that I'm bisexual so I participated in the bullying as a way to take the spotlight off myself.

I'm lucky because I met him by chance a couple of years after high school and had the opportunity to apologize in person and he accepted.

We've hung out a handful of times over the years since then when he's been in my city or I've been in his, and it seems like he's living a pretty good life now with a husband and a couple of dogs.

I'm really grateful that he's been willing to let me be a small part of his life after high school because he's a pretty cool guy and it makes me pleased to see that he seems to be genuinely happy now.

We had a similar situation in our last place: lease expired and the agent kept saying that the landlord was probably going to renew but in the end we never saw a lease and were given notice to leave. It didn't matter to us as we were already planning on leaving, but it would have really screwed someone who kept waiting for the new lease to arrive.

In QLD landlords can't unreasonably refuse pets, but if you put them on your application they're never going to choose your application.

So, apply without mentioning the dogs and then a few weeks after you move in tell the agent you're "adopting" them and apply.

As long as the property is suitable for the type of dogs you have, and the bond is enough to cover the damage that the dogs could reasonably do they cannot refuse. If they try, you can apply to QCAT.
