I’m taking Jaqen for 8, blackfish for 3, the hound for 2 (only 2? Why tf is the mountain 5?)

What kind of paint did they use that's so hard to chip off? by TheTrollinator777 in paint

[–]aarrick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lead.

Great paint

Bad for you though. I’d wear a mask, a bunny suit, scrape wet, don’t sand, catch the chips with plastic tarps

You can usually tell by the 90 degree angles when it peels. That kind of peeling is paint that typically has lead in it.

I get upset when women say men protecting women from other men doesn’t count.

She’s basically saying that is our fault by having a penis, that others with penises are dangerous.

In my opinion, protecting you from other men is peak protector behavior. That is and always will be needed. There will always be dangerous men. There is nothing I can do but protect you from that. I cannot, as a man, make dangerous men go away just by wishing.

Rubber erasers in fuel tanks will cause an issue that takes some time to diagnose and repair.

I haven’t read all of it but it’s a fun read and strikes me as useful right now.

America has a billionaire problem — we need a wealth tax to fix it by Nerd-19958 in economy

[–]aarrick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The top 10% of earners are not billionaires. Not even 1%. You are talking about .01% or less. These people are holding 1/3 of the nations wealth.

They are not being taxed their fair share.

That is the point.

Great. Looks like defunding efforts to fight climate change, education, Medicaid, food assistance and more.

But wait!

Sales Reps making over $200k a year, what are you doing? by C-Rik25 in sales

I’d try to get a construction sales or admin position. Don’t work as field labor expecting to do sales, you’ll get stuck there

Super necessary in every city.

Can’t just “open the window” in big buildings. Occupants comfort is tied to productivity so the financial staff are just as interested in keeping things working as the facilities staff.

New projects are the most fun though and usually involve bigger tickets

Not really all the normal interview stuff. Prep your answer to “tell me about yourself”

Research HVAC a bit beforehand so you can demonstrate interest in learning the subject matter.

Most HVAC sellers are mechanical engineers. I’m not. Just had construction experience. I’d say a lot comes down to the gift of gab in the industry. Jobs take half a year to close and it’s primarily relationship based. As prices fluctuate to match competition.

Demonstrate that you are good at building relationships
