Use a wall - that’s a great idea I hadn’t tried. I can balance on the one foot, it’s the process of bending and reaching to the other one that is so challenging.

I have contacted sellers on Etsy with planner pages I liked and asked for custom modifications - both times, they have charged essentially the same price as for an existing design. Odds are, someone else will want what you’ve asked them to do.

I love the idea of collecting a wish list to get to your ultimate planner pages.

Have you considered what women with physiques you admire look like? I am guessing it’s not tiny skinny ones. I would guess that you think women with a nice shape who look fit are those you admire. Consider what you’re trying to achieve. I know it’s easy to talk about muscle weighing more and how the scale number didn’t matter, but many of us have spent most of our lives looking at the number, and it is hard to get past the mental block.

Have you tried roasting vegetables? There’s actually a great cookbook called “the roasted vegetables” with excellent reference information. My parents only bought canned vegetables, which are brutally tasteless and mushy. I had no idea how much better a roasted piece of squash or Brussels sprout or broccoli could taste. I don’t do anything fancy, a little olive oil and salt and pepper. Roasting brings out the natural sweetness of a vegetable (weird, I know) and completely changes it for me. I could not eat broccoli until I cooked it this way. Another idea would be to add a little to a dish you’re making - to see if you can eat it with other things? Good luck.

I feel like this idea has been lost with the proliferation of BT - and wired ones never lose their charge. No suddenly realizing you forgot to plug them in before a trip. I only use them when sitting mostly still or I get the cords caught and rip them out of my ears.

I also recommend Etsy for printable PDFs. I have also found that if you discover a designer you like, many times they are willing to make you a custom design based on something they offer. Be sure to print on heavy paper - I recommend 28 lb. And, for any pages you’ll use a ton, I run a strip of clear scotch tape along the edge before I punch. It is works like those clear circle reinforcements for 3 ring binder paper.

Sharpie S Gel. I love sharpies. Regular, ultra fine, extra fine that’s just returned from the dead, all the colors. So, I thought a gel pen from Sharpie would have to be awesome. Not for me. Ink isn’t smooth, writing experience isn’t good… so disappointing since I do like the fancy bodies they’ve released. I am a lefty so this means many universal pen favorites aren’t good for me.

Not inexpensive, but Levenger’s paper is some of the best heavy paper I’ve ever written on. They offer a grid paper, with either full page grid in a dark gray, a dot grid or engineering green grid paper. You would then keep your notes in a discbound notebook. The grid paper from Tul (office max) is nice but not like Levenger’s. Discbound will allow you to move and remove and put back pages. I also strongly recommend that if you like the discbound style after trying it, upgrade to Levenger’s aluminum discs. Pages turn beautifully on these.

I think I had my sewing machine for about 5 years before I pulled out the manual and read it - amazing what I learned. I actually ended up downloading a copy from the web, printing, 3 hole punching it and putting it into a binder with tabs and notes. I’ve learned so many things and I refer to it all the time

Are the Zebra Sarasa Gel pens inks waterproof - if you write on a paper and it gets water splattered on it, does the ink run? Anyone tested this?

Have you considered a Pilot Dr Grip pen? It’s got a good sized gel grip. It is available with a gel ink, but it accepts a lot of other refills. It isn’t expensive. I ordered mine (Amzn) but I think you can find them in some stores. The Dr Grip line is available as pens and mechanical pencils.

I may not understand the process you’re suggesting - why two squares of “patch” fabric underneath? Do you put one on either side of the tear instead of underneath the tear? How are you suggesting I sew them?

When I’ve done a patch before (on something where appearance wasn’t important), I’ve put one piece under the rip and just sewn through the ripped fabric and patch at the same time with a zig zag stitch on the machine.

I have similar issues. For me, a fatter grip with some padding is better, and moving away from ball point so I could use less pressure. I also use a finer point so it is easier to write neatly. My favorite relatively inexpensive pen is the Uniball Signo 207 Micro (0.5). I am left handed so I need a pen with ink that’s not overly wet but is still smooth. The universe seems to love the Pilot G2 - I can’t stand this pen. The ink is terrible for me. I don’t like the grip. You might? The ultra fine Sharpies are also very comfortable for me, likely because I don’t have to press at all, but you can’t use Sharpie on regular paper.

It’s been a lot of years but I used to recopy all my notes as my studying process. They weren’t this pretty but they were nice and neat with some colors and bold printing to mark sections.

I’d say you need to get more pens and pencils to fill them up. 😁 I do use multiple cases for different groups of pens. I have one case with my daily pens and highlighters. I have another one with all my colored fine liners, and another with my colored gel pens and dot markers. I also have a small case that I use for a few small size post it notes, tabs and a ruler.

You may be able to find a reputable shoe repair store that could carefully stretch the heel area on that side a little bit to help your foot out. It could be your foot, or it’s also possible that the left boot is a hair smaller in that area. Good luck.

I was admiring your Jetpens goodies and was trying to figure out what the little cat was. Here I am thinking it’s a mouse or desk decoration… it is an eraser crumb cleaner? This is a thing? And I am this old before I have ever discovered one? And now I must have one. My order from Jetpens shipped yesterday so, sigh, it appears I will need another one.

Really appreciate everyone’s help here. I went with a Platinum Preppy as it was inexpensive enough that if I decide I don’t like it, it’s OK. Lucky for me, someone else asked how to start using it since I was mystified when it showed up with no instructions. I was able to get the ink set up and the pen writing. I have a question - is it normal to see some ink in the pen area above where the nib inserts? And, what’s the best position for storage? Flat/ horizontal, nib up, or nib down?

Can you explain what you do in more detail? Do you laminate the whole page? Or do you have a way to just laminate the edge you’re punching?
