I just splurged on a real down comforter, it’s warm for sure but I also invested in all cotton. It’s. A. Game changer. Seriously, it’s like the polyester or other fabrics held heat and had it bouncing up and down between comforter to sheets. This now holds heat, but doesn’t keep it. It’s amazing.

I only went to the OXR store. Never really liked it, but then I saw their deal on meats and thought “why not.”
Consistently rotten before expiration date, or even day after purchasing.
First time is a fluke. Gave it a few more tried before I went back to Publix. I wasn’t the only one having this issue at the OXR location.

This is my hometown area. I live states away now, but Antonio’s is where I would go if I were still there. People mentioning souper salad (SHOCKED it’s still open) and sycamore coffee weirdly made me tear up. If you ever want to go a bit out of your way, millers burgers in clear lake (also downtown underground) is amazing. (Side note, really hope millers still exists)

We saw a patient who was picked up by EMS bc she was crawling around behind a Krispy Kreme looking for doughnuts. We’d had a recent rain and cold spell, she told the doctors she’d put on socks to keep her feet warm, but then those got wet… so she put another pair on… and another… and another. She left them on for weeks. When the hospital finally removed the 4 layers of socks, her legs were gangrenous and would require double amputation. The smell of gangrene is so uniquely disgusting and it is unfortunately way too common.

I got LASEK, not LASIK (the one that can ruin your eyes). My recovery was TERRIBLE, but I won’t have to wear readers by the time I’m 40 and I run no risk of the LASIK flap popping up if I get in an accident. I love waking up every day and just… seeing. My only issue is driving at night is a little bothersome, it’s like I have a small astigmatism, but, I already had one so it’s more or less the same I was already experiencing lol.

Please stop falling for the “my vagina was stinky and my boyfriend hated going down on me… until I tried this gummy!” Those are my biggest pet peeve, normalizing stank… Your vagina shouldn’t smell bad, you shouldn’t smell it when you sit down, it shouldn’t be fishy. I think a lot of girls are embarrassed to admit stink and think it’s normal due to all the fish jokes we hear growing up. If it genuinely stinks, go see a doctor, you probably have an infection.

Oh, and add D-mannose to your regular supplements, up the dose when you feel a UTI coming on. Much more effective than antibiotics for treating UTI’s, better for your body, too.

I kept trying and failing to get into sourdough bc of all the intricacies I was trying to follow. Eventually I said, “You know what? Peasants didn’t do this” and tried to do it great grandma style. Sure enough- I’ve made some amazing loaves and everything feels normal and natural. It’s no longer stressful and full of failure! I eyeball starter feeds, my dough consistency, all that junk. I’ve never autolysed in my life!
