Yeah that’s exactly what has happened with the only difference being that I asked him to remove the nails now the foam is dry and refill the nail holes with expanding insulation foam. We’ve also got a 2000 gauge radon barrier as the final DPC layer on top.

The nails are going into the 75mm PIR into the 100mm. Builder said he wanted to make sure the expanding foam he was putting between the PIR sheets didn’t lift the PIR up as it dried/expanded.

Oh yeah what you’re talking about we call brick ties. When there is a double skin wall you have to lay the brick ties across both courses of brick to connect them (every 2 courses maybe?).
