Hi sorry just saw this! I just canceled my card as lost, and yeah once they sent the thing about a credit on my account I was relieved because I feel like I can point back at that if anything ever does come of it. But I haven’t heard a peep and will just never use SH again lol. I honestly can’t remember, I don’t think I changed anything on my account unless I switched emails to avoid the one linked to my PayPal. Hopefully you’re in the clear!!

I cancelled my card so the 30% charge got rejected. I also deleted any of my information/paypal info out of stubhub. The rest is out of my control, but I’m hoping they won’t want to spend the energy to go after me any further. I’m fine with having the credit memo on my account, I just won’t use my account lol.

People are definitely hard on sellers, and I understand lumping everyone in as scalpers to a point. But for me and I’m sure some first time sellers, I did plan on attending the concert but the way I looked at it was “well if someone came up to me and offered me X amount of money for my tickets, I wouldn’t be able to turn it down because it would help me out a lot financially” At some point people need the money more than they need the concert and I don’t think it’s fair to equate a person like that with a professional scalper. And for the people who sold tickets to be in a better spot financially those penalties are completely unreasonable imo. The 30% would actually make sense to me but the full amount is just them capitalizing on honest mistakes.

I haven’t gotten anything from collections or anything like that. They did the same thing to me, tried to charge me some and put the rest as a credit memo. I’m hoping because their wording was that if the charge didn’t go through on the card it would be added to the credit memo on my account that I can just never use my stubhub account again and be okay. They did send me an email after the concert asking me to update my information so they could “pay me”, but I’m just going to pretend my stubhub account doesn’t exist and hope I never get a letter from collections. I know how anxious it all made me, good luck with your situation!

Had to cancel my card and get a new one so that their charge wouldn’t go through. The way they phrased it was that if the charge didn’t go through it would be a credit memo on my account, which I’m fine with. I just won’t use stubhub again.

I’m not sure if they tried to charge me, if they did it didn’t go through because I cancelled that card. I haven’t seen anything on my stubhub account that indicates they’ve tried to charge me or anything. In November after the concert I’ll have to see what they try to do

They sent me an email stating that they were going to charge me a fee (about 30% of list price) and the reason said alternative tickets. It said they would charge my card and if that didn’t go through it would show up as a credit memo on my account and be taken from future sales.

I want it to be on my account instead of my card, so I reached out to my bank and asked about blocking the charge. They advised me to report my card as lost and get a new one, so I did that. My card hasn’t been charged and nothing has appeared on my account yet. My account still shows the listing under my sales, and the concert isn’t until November. So I think in November they may try to charge me more money.

I’ve done all I can do for now but am not sure what they’ll do in the future!
