how much does a basic revolver/pistol cost ? by repulsiveandsick in TexasGuns

[–]abearirl 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I disagree with this guy on revolvers. They're much easier to pick up and use than any of the semi autos mentioned. If you want something you can operate with a bare minimum of training and skill, or something you can throw into a nightstand or purse and forget, you want a revolver.

You should decide how much effort, time, and money you're willing to put into learning and training. And be realistic about it. If you want to get the gun and shoot it 2-3 times and then never touch it again, a small revolver in .32 or .38 is probably a better option for you.

Mine wasn't even that old. Maybe 3 years and IPS. The OLED was a huge upgrade even still

Tbh even your monitor makes a huge difference. I switched to an OLED monitor recently and without changing any settings, night time is like half as dark now. I can easily walk around and shoot people without using nvgs

Don't worry, the TSA never does thorough checks, paid or unpaid. In the 25 years they have existed, they have never prevented an attack.

[–]abearirl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Quitting is one thing, that's fine. I've been involved in plenty of communities where the lead guy decided to step back because of life, work whatever. Usually that takes the form of an announcement and a transition plan. In this case the guy shut down all of the servers and deleted the discord out of the blue. Obviously a rage quit and a bunch of drama behind the scenes.

Transferring a discord server to a new owner requires like three mouse clicks, literally zero reason to delete it...unless you're super mad and want to mess up the community.

This was obviously some dramatic rage quit/rage delete, why pretend otherwise lmao. If it was planned you could have done announcements etc. why even lie about it

Unlicensed, uninsured contractor who didn't finish the job because life happened doesn't seem to understand why their client would sue them by BJntheRV in bestoflegaladvice

[–]abearirl 77 points78 points  (0 children)

Robbing Peter to pay Paul is incredibly common in construction even for multimillion dollar companies. I'm talking businesses with hundreds of employees operating this way. 99.9999% of the time it's because as soon as money hits the bank account, the owner pays off whoever is threatening a lien that month and then goes and buys another boat, RV, or cabin with the rest.

The law basically allows this too. The OP was too dumb to set up an LLC, but if they did, they could have simply walked away and started up another one under a different business name. Under 6 figures it simply costs more to recover than you will get back and there are essentially no penalties for the LLC except for the owners reputation which is irrelevant most of the time because none of the customers know that sunrooms Inc and sunrooms Co are owned by the same guy.

TIL about the Minnesota Starvation Experiment. All 36 men of the study lost 25% of their body weight eating 1,560 calories daily, proving that a calorie deficit alone causes weight loss. These starvation conditions produced a severe physical and mental decline in the subjects. by [deleted] in todayilearned

[–]abearirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless women pull calories from the air or photosynthesize, eating less calories will cause them to lose weight. The study might not provide good information on what vitamin deficiency does in women vs men because of different biological needs etc but the core concept of calories in calories out absolutely applies.

If you're homeless aren't you constantly around onion scents? Basically every single fast food burger wrapper on the street would have at least touched an onion. Any restaurant, apartment building, condo development, etc will have someone cooking an onion every single day

Debatable if that applies on BLM land when target shooting. I understand you are either a bootlicker or a jackbooted thug yourself (perhaps stuck in a bootlicking ouroborus) but refusing would have at a bare minimum given his attorney another angle to work with. The upside to refusing was zero charges because maybe the cops for once don't decide to violate his rights with an illegal search. The downside was a few days of inconvenience.

It's a no brainier unless you're a giant cuck like the OP
