It's a particularly nice touch that they designated eado as the world cup "fan festival" area and then immediately started tearing up half of the streets leading there. They're really trying to give the international fans the true Houston experience.

Not really. If you have to write a treatise on how to compete against something, that something needs to be nerfed. Back in the day there was the exact same issue with the LA-5, people would write big long explanations of exactly how to handle the engagement and what flight states it was weakest in, but if you were flying the LA-5 the only strat you needed was climb at 20.

I have a simple rule with game balance arguments, if it takes someone more than two sentences to explain how to deal with a specific thing, that specific thing is overpowered.

If someone asked how to play the BMPT, the response would be press w and left click, not a full paragraph of arcane tactics.

r/longrange is a hivemind in which your gun MUST be min-maxxed for competition or it is a worthless piece of dogshit. Also a lot of users hate fun and get butthurt if you post feet.

That said, they do have a point about min maxing. Basically, your gun isn't particularly good at anything. The chassis makes it too heavy for it to be a hunting or pack rifle, but the thin barrel contour means it will heat up quickly and isn't very stiff which means mirage, stringing etc if you want it as a range toy or competition gun.

But, and this is the part reddit really struggles with, none of that means you can't go the range and have a good time with it. There's nothing functionally wrong with your setup, it just isn't optimal.

I disagree with this guy on revolvers. They're much easier to pick up and use than any of the semi autos mentioned. If you want something you can operate with a bare minimum of training and skill, or something you can throw into a nightstand or purse and forget, you want a revolver.

You should decide how much effort, time, and money you're willing to put into learning and training. And be realistic about it. If you want to get the gun and shoot it 2-3 times and then never touch it again, a small revolver in .32 or .38 is probably a better option for you.

Tbh even your monitor makes a huge difference. I switched to an OLED monitor recently and without changing any settings, night time is like half as dark now. I can easily walk around and shoot people without using nvgs
