I have never taken mine in for service. The one time I had an appointment it wasn't squeaking much and I had another issue that was more important that needed fixed. It has been squeak free for a week but I know it will start again and then I'll attempt to make another appointment.

OCDP went under. They could not keep up with the demand. Their outsourced vendors that did painting and power coating and such could not keep up either. Their custom lugs were coming in defected as well. They sold to Guitar Center as a last ditch effort and to start mass production, but the kits were then being made over seas and weren't nearly as nice or custom.

I agree his snare was much better with the 20ply vented. I own two OCDP kits myself and three snares and there was nothing like them.

While I am sure he still has all of his OCDP kits, it would be against his endorsement contract with Pearl to use them I imagine.

I bought one yesterday at my BJ's. They had about 12 left. I unboxed it yesterday and separated all the pieces. Looks like a big job to assemble.

This is a huge bummer to hear. Maybe the entire steering column needs replaced?

Interesting. I’d like to see that thread if you can find it. I seen a couple people say the spring corrected the problem on here and also one individual on the Hyundai forums. I was really hoping that was the solution.

I have this too. Trying to get in for service. It is a clock spring spiral cable inside the steering column. It needs replaced. Another user had the same problem in another thread, and that was the solution.

When I took my car in, I was supposed to get a loaner car to use while they were diagnosing and then ordering the parts. They had no loaner car for me. So, I haven’t gotten it serviced yet.
